caution:Do not aim at eyes or face.
Do not look directly at the sun.
Use only darts designed for this product.
Do not modify darts or dart blasters.
Always wear VISION GEAR eyeware provided.
I never follow the caution anyway, but why does it say don't look at the sun?

Like nitewalk said , it says on the box that its block 99,9% of UVA and UVB rays. But why is this on a nerf gun?

It says it blocks UVA and UVB rays. So you're fine from the rays the sun produces.
But looking directly at the sun puts all the photons into your eyes (not just the rays). Your eyes actually see the light (and anybody with a brain knows there's a LOT of light up there), and if you do it too often you'll go blind.
Does that explain it comprehensibly?

But I do have to agree with general cole. Why would someone look at the sun ?
When you really think about it, this forum is still pretty darn tootin' good. It's like any family; we have a mix of brains, 'tards, jocks, geeks, hos, burners, waistoids, dickheads.

I really didn't know how to explain it, as it is kind of hard to explain. To try again (just rephrasing what db said), it's like the heat of the sun. Down here, we get 100-105 degrees in the middle of the summer. But we all know the sun is... well I don't know exactly how hot it is, but just to throw out a number... a million degrees. What can protect us down here (A/C anyone?) can't protect us up there.
It's the same with the light it produces. Down here, we get enough photons so we can see well. Sunglasses aren't even made to block that out entirely; they aren't a solid color... they are made to dim it. Now, the sun gives off enough photons to light itself, however many planets we now have, as well as billions of cubic feet of space. That's why sunglasses protect us down here normally, but not when you look at something as bright as the sun.

Basically, the warning label is there, just like any other warning label, to keep idiots from blaming the company for what they do.
