I just want to know what kind of paint people use when they paint their guns. Last time I used latex, and well, it can of in like a week so I need some help.

When you die, if you get a choice between going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it's not, mmmmmmm, boy

Krylon makes great primers and spray paints. In fact they have put out a line of spray paint specifically for plastics. I plan on using that for my Max Shot and my new project. And to secure that paint from coming off, I'd get some matte varnish and spray over it. I got some rust-oleum painters touch matte finish for about 2 bucks at a craft store. It works great and leaves a bit of a gloss on it to really protect the paint. Happy spraying,

Talio.

Krylon and Rust-oleum are two brands that probably every store in the Union (and offshore too ;) ) has stocked up. Look for epoxy finishes; they cost a bit more and are not as multi-hued as far as color choice goes, but if you're looking for durability, they can't be beat.

And don't forget the one important rule about paint; preparation is the key to success. Get your plastic pieces that you'll paint and wash them with Dawn liquid or some degreasing soap and water, dry them thoroughly, and don't handle them until you're ready to paint. And don't get too excited and try to assemble your gun before the paint has thoroughly dried...24-48 hours minimum. You'll be pleased with the results. Good luck!

Spray paint is good and all but what about small detail work?
