I've recently recived an Eagle Eye and im wondering if using it as a primary is wise.
It gets at least 70' flat with stock taggers in a CPVC barrel.
Better than my LNL. (Also CPVC modded for micros)
I've noticed that this gun isnt used much and im wondering if this is for any perticular reason.
What ranges do your primarys usualy get?
Is it common to have a gun that has one shot for a primary that is this weak compared to the Xbow or longshot?

None of us can tell you whether or not to use that gun. Who really cares what other people are using as primaries? If you like the gun and it works, why not use it? Just because nobody else uses it doesn't mean you can't.

Well a LNL is a small gun. Yea an EE can get around 70'. Its not that popular as a primary because it doesn't have a good ROF or REALLY good range. Usually in a good primary you want to have both.

I would recommend you use it as a secondary (which is different than a sidearm but can be the same thing)

Talio's frist primary was an Eagle Eye. I wonder if he still has that piece of shit.

Use what ever fits you best, I don't even use a primary, I just use two NFs. Its all preference, the EE is smaller then those bigger extremly powerful guns so maybe you will like it better.

Sometimes carrying around a bulky gun like the crossbow or RF20 isn't fun but it's really all up to you. 70 feet is good enougth for a primary.

Edit: As a reply to Team_Slaya and a suggestion to skitzo. Why don't you do the mod on http://www.nerfworld.com/ it reduces the size quite a bit.

Man, the EE is frigging huge for it's power. If you like it, by all means go ahead and use it. The cocking mechanism is kinda cool. You could pull a Falcon and slap a 2k turret on there, THEN it would have a bit of ROF to it. Who knows? It's what fits your playing style. It's just that if you have a single shot weapon, it's best to have some range/accuracy to go along with it, because other guns will easily outshoot you with the same ROF.

I did the NerfWorld mod to my Eagle Eye.

It reduced the size.

A lot.

I couldnt get it to shoot all that well, only 'bout 40'. Then BANG! It just happened, now it goes 60' or 70'. It was pretty surprising...

Personally I don't use it for my primary, I use an AT3K., it's just a little bigger and it has 6 shots. But hey. its whatever works for you.
