Nothing happened. I tried to pull it back from the extended position, but it was stuck. I kept trying. I put the gun down and looked for the manual. When I came back, the gun slid right back in place. I pulled it back and fired with the same result. What's the matter? Is there something I forgot to do because I couldn't read the manual? I'm a little depressed right now, so can you guys help me out?

OK so the arrow does not leave the barrel?
Does the gun make any noise?
So you can cock it back right?
When you pull the trigger does anything happen?
Instructions for the New style BBB
1 load the arrow
2 cock it back so its in extended position
3 pull the trigger
4 push it forward
5 repeat

The arrow does not leave the barrel.
When I fire it does make a little noise, less than that of what my longshot makes.
I can cock it back.
When I fire, it makes a decent noise.
1. I can load the arrow.
2. I can pull it back.
3. I can pull the trigger.
4. I cannot push it forward.
5. I have to wait about 4 seconds to repeat.

I'd be willing to bet you bought a Nerf gun that was already returned by someone else. It would certainly explain the lack of a manual or any advertisements. It would also explain why the gun doesn't work; it's defective, and I'd return it anyway rather than trying to fix it; for 20 bucks you deserve a gun that works correctly out of the box, not one you have to jury-rig to get working right.

No guys, same thing happened to me, DO NOT RETURN THE GUN. Cock it then put an arrow on the tip, usually the really good ones when pulled back do not let air in because the seal between the plunger collar and plunger shaft is so good. Try this then if it still does not work then return it.

Nah, that's not it. There's definitely something wrong with the gun. When I fire, no air is released. After firing, the gun is still primed and won't slide back to its original position for about 30 seconds. Thanks, though.

The spring in your plunger isnt powerfull enough to push the plunger all the way forward by the time the gun finishes firing and the restrictor kicks in.
In order to push the back half all the way forward, you have to have the plunger at the front of the Plunger tube.
Thats what those Little Orange things on the sides do. They also hold the gun in it's back position while it's cocked.
my remedy: Open up the front of the gun, and pull out the air restrictor. Should fix your problem real quick.

EDIT: I just opened it up and removed the restricters. I put it back together. The gun fires arrows about 10 feet tops. I'm not sure what to do now.
Should I:
a. Sand down the insides and shove in some brass, hoping micros will fire correctly, and risking $20?
b. Return the gun, get a new one.
I need your help here, guys. $20 is a big risk for me right now, I'm a little low on moolah. Thanks.

Well, try shooting without the arrow on the barrel. Listen if afterwards and air output comes out. If it does, it might be the air restrictor adding too much stress on the air output. IF you took out the air restrictors and it still does the same thing, then something else is probably blocking the air. Try to find the blockage and try again. If it still doesn't work, then you don't have much hope. Then return it.
You have no idea what you're talking about. The new BBB does not fire stock by direct air output to the the arrow. You the little nub at the end of the stock barrel? That is how the BBB is fired. The air pushes that little nub stick forward and that makes conact with the arrow firing it about 25 feet.
Lancaster- If you can tell that the gun has been used, then return it. WHEN MODDING THE BBB LEAVE THE WHITE RESTRICTOR IN. DRILL A HOLE THROUGH THE MIDDLE of it to create more air output.
If you get 10 feet when removing all th e restrictions and junk then I think your BBB is okay. put the white restricto back in a drill a hole through it and add a barrel and your done!

What? Im quite certain mine worked by pushing air out...
Even if thats how it works stock, I can garuntee much better arrow-firing by choping that off, the BBB has a huge volume plunger, making it ideal for...you know...shooting arrows with air pressure....
Its busted dude, throw the restrictors back in, take it back, and get a new one.

EDIT: http://nerfhaven.com...topic=5193&st=0 states that with chopping that off he can get arrows up to 40...as can I.

I know what I'm talking about. I never said there is a direct air output. The plunger releases, it makes contact with the AR base. The base is connected to a spring and peg. The peg pushes the nub on the top releasing the arrow. Lancaster, if your BBB is shotting 10 feet tops, then that's pretty low for a BBB range. My BBB stock shot about 34 feet tops before I took out the ARs. I suggest that you should return it.Well, try shooting without the arrow on the barrel. Listen if afterwards and air output comes out. I just hope they keep this defective one off the shelves so some 10 year old doesn't have a bad first impression of Nerf.

So, did you get some results yet?Okay. Thanks for the help. I'm going to return it today. I just shoved it in the box (it didn't fit, unextended!) and covered it with some tape. Will they let me just grab another one?
