Has anyone successfully opened up the LS clip yet? I removed the screws and when I went to open it, it appeared to be glued shut. I would like to know whether or not it is possible to open it without cracking or permanently damaging any part of the clip before I proceed and attempt to pry it open. I would like to modify the clip a bit, so please let me know-

I have not tried yet, as my longshot is in a closet waiting for my birthday , but as far as I know, no one's successfully got it open.

[EDIT] Well, ShadowSniper got it open fine, so I take that back.

Just because of this topic, I just opened one of mine up. Easy as pie, just take out the two screws and pry open those two latches and it came apart fine. I have to say though, that is a cool spring inside of it.

I hope that it isn't a "cool spring" just because it is a box spring...

As for opening the clip: if you dont want to pry it open and risk it breaking in an unfavorable position, you could take a knife and use it to cut along the seam of the plastic.

Sixo, I'm rather interested what you would like to modify. Could you tell us your plans for your clip?
