When I opened my first at2k from Kohl's, the turret fell out and I didn't see the o-ring, figuring it must have gotten lost when falling or something. Because of this I had to single mod it :D . Then I opened my second one and this time I made sure to open it carefully and NO O-ring yet again! Is this normal, does anyone else not have o-rings in their at2k turrets? Is the gun supposed to LITERALLY have a 5 ft range stock and bullets not even leaving the barrel? Or do you think this is due to the missing ring? I'm wondering whether I should put one from the store in.

Stock, yes, most 2ks will get literally 5' if the darts even decide to shoot. That's probably not from the missing o-ring but just because the gun sucks.

I Crayola modded one of mine with four barrels a long time ago and I don't think I had the o-ring, and the range was still decent for such a crappy mod. In any case, I'd suggest quadding it and seeing how it does, and if it sucks then (assuming your barrels fit your darts and you're using Stefans, and pump is plugged, the usual stuff), it's probably the missing o-ring and you'll have to replace it with one from a store. It's possible that in the newer 2ks (were these the new color scheme with green and blue and pink?), they could've come stock with no o-rings to prevent people from quadding them, but I think it will be okay without an o-ring anyway.

Sorry I couldn't have been more help. Good luck, that's all I can say.

Yeah, a couple of ours have had no o-rings either. I just made up for it with hot-glue. They work just as well as those with o-rings, except every time you want to take the turret off and put it back on, you have to scrape the hot-glue off and put another layer on.

Really, the lack of an o-ring won't hurt. There are other ways of making a good air-tight seal there. I'd suggest hot-glue, and NOT epoxy, hot-glue can be taken off fairly easily, and it perfectly strong enough for this application.

It gave the site a sort of 'homy' feeling.

Did you know that "m" can sometimes look like "rn" when read quickly?

A while ago I ordered 5 2ks from kohls.com and crayola modded them. While I was was modding them I noticed that the barrels were easy to break off of 2 out of the five, but not the other three. Later, when I was opening them up, I noticed those same 2 had o-rings it the turrets, ant the others did not. I wonder if nerf started to manufature them differently, to make them harder of easier to mod before they cut the airtech series....
