The problem with duct tape is that it doesnt breath at all. One time I made a duct tape suit (coat pants and a tie) for halloween and I was sweating within like 15 minutes

It's also not a good idea to go out on Halloween in Florida wearing a full trench coat, jeans, WWII army helmet, gas mask, and blue suede shoes. Things tend to get a little sweaty.

Don't you get $2,000 from some weird agency if you wear a duct tape tux to your senior prom?

Oh, and pictures would be nice.

The Stuck At Prom Contest.
The thing I love about duct tape vests is the level of custom-ness that you can have. I'm going to make one for airsot using Real Tree camo tape.

Your one big problem is expense. Duct tape is freaking expensive.

It's not that expensive. I can get some for 1$ a roll or less. It usually lasts me for quite a while, so I wouldn't worry about expenses unless you need many, many, many rolls(I've never actually made a duct tape vest, but it would suprise me if you needed more than 10) which I highly doubt. Maybe I just buy the cheap stuff, but it hasn't failed me yet.

First of all sistermol I hate you. Second use your damn grammar and capitalization. Duct is a cheap way to make some kickass stuff. I may make some camo wrap and other stupid things just for fun ifI can find and natural camo looking tape.

This contest may have some flaws, as people can simply be a deuschbag over the internet. By Lying.

A war-like setting/invitational would be better...

That's too bad. I have four holsters made entirely out of duct tape, and one more made partially of duct tape. They all work great.

If you know how to use it right, duct tape isn't all that expensive.

Heck, it pays, like some other people have mentioned. I made my girlfriend a purse which looks great and is (relatively speaking) in with current fashions and whatnot. Within the next 5 months or so, I had three different female birthdays to attend and I (being a lazy ass) forgot to get any of them gifts until the last minute. So I made them all purses. 5 Duct tape purses on ONE roll. Imagine what "real" gifts would've cost me...

Seriously did you make purses out of duct tape? And they actually used Duct Tape purses? Am I missing something? Duct tape is the strong gray tape right?

I'm not trying to be an ass, all my questions are serious.

Yea, he's right. Our school has a duct tape club, which is basically a fundraiser club for various events. At Sweethearts (girls ask guys), they used red and green duct tape to make roses, HC, purses, etc. etc. Whatever the moment calls for.

One time I was going to a dance and for the life of me couldn't find a tie to match my attire... so I made one out of duct tape in 5 minutes and wasn't even late.

My older sister's Prom date had a duct tape vest & tie (note the word "vest," not "suit," as Elf was saying duct tape doesn't breath that well).

It's one of those things where the only limit is your imagination.

Sorry I dont have it anymore. I sold it to a friend for like $45. (That may seem like B.S. that someone would pay that much but please note that at the time I was at a high end private school with loads of rich snobs with rather large pocket books) It took me like three hours and 4 or 5 rolls of tape to make. If you guys wanna make one I'm sure that there is some sight out there that has instructions on how to make one. I had a friend who helped me make mine though (the same guy who I sold it to.)

Its one of those "butt of every joke" kinda things.

... as Elf was saying duct tape doesn't breath that well.

The stuff doesnt breath at all.
