Has anyone considered making a homemade LS clip? I think wood might be suitable, and you could Dremel the appropriate ridges in to make it fit. I really don't have the expertise, but maybe someone who does could right up a schematic?

The hard part would be those hook things on top that go around the barrel. But my bet is that when hasbro starts selling the streamline ammo they might just sell clips with it, or atleast I hope so. :(

Likely It will be sold as part of the repair menu on hasbro. Hell they have the nightfinder bottom peice for the batterys. Just give it afew months. Or buy afew longstrikes and use the clips from them.

Good point I hadn't even thought of that.

If you wait awhile Hasbro will probably release the streamline darts for sale, if they don't then there would not be any reason to make the gun. Same with the clips.

I made one yesterday. I took one of the magazines and made a mold for it using plaster of paris after halving it,then made it using Injection fibreglass. I'd recomend polypropelene to the first-time DIYer but if you know fibreglass by all means go ahead.

It works okay. i'd get pictures up but my phone bill is already gonna be thru the roof.

Well, the best s niper ammo IMO is still the vortex rings, but we see how well supplied *those* are. At least we can make our own streamline darts.

I've discovered you can in fact put 7 darts into the stock LS clips instead of the 6 it officially supports. Even with 7 in there though, there seems to be a lost of wasted space in the bottom of the clip taken up by the feeder platform. Makes me wonder if that could be trimmed down some to fit another dart or two.

- and that thing with the board turning s niper into loser is annoying as hell. Sombodys personal bias should not be encorced as a forum rule.

You can actually get eight darts into the gun if you put one into the chamber than close it, then jam a clip of seven into it. It may feel like the clip will not go in but tap it a couple of times with the palm of your hand and it will.

If anybody needs pics or other help PM me.

i'm not biased toward losers. i just don't understand nerf losing. the range is not good enough for my tastes. 75 foot minimum for losing. I agree with kamen on vortex rings still being the best for range. it sucks that they don't make them anymore. loser rifles also have a distinct disadvantage of taking a very long time to set up a shot. Don't get me wrong here. i'd take a good nerf loser if it was easy to fire and had a good range. the LS is just a good all-around jack of all trades rifle.

I noticed how you can get 7 in there. If you were to play with the internals, you could probably fit 9+.

Unfortunately, I've already lost 2 darts. Anyone else notice that despite the fact that darts are neon orange, they disappear incredibly fast? I could have sworn that the two that I lost just vanished into thin air. They're not behind my couch, TV, armchair, coffee table, beer cap collection, 3' cardboard Yoda cutout, TV stand...
