When I got the magstrike I was really happy it came with two magazines and got about 35 feet out of the box. Well I went to do a normal air restrictor removal on the magazine and put it back together loaded it up and I got maybe 15 feet. Does anyone know what happend?

You might have taken to much of the restriction. Instead of the air coming out at a high pressure because of the air restriction, it comes out faster but very weak. Taking out to much restriction can hurt range. Like on my scout I removed the barrel post and drilled a hole behind the barrel but it was too big for the small plunger tube, so it hurt the range.

OR you didn't load the darts all the way in, you didn't pump it all the way, it has a leak. It could be many different things.

You need tighter barrels. Don't worry about the restriction, just try to get some tighter barrels in there. The stock darts being used on the pegs gave some "pop" since there was time for the pressure to build up before the dart left. Whether that was the INTENDED purpose of the restrictors I don't know, but that's more or less why I believe there was a range decrease.

Not if you plan on putting the PETG inside the stock turrets barrels. Nerf monkey did a CPVC turret mod for his RF20 His ranges were very good. I think you can find the mod in the mod write up directory.

I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

It depends on your darts. You want it somewhat tight; not tight enough so that it won't shoot, but tight enough to at least get a pop.
