Well the forum isn't mine it is my freinds and No one has joined or posted in a while.
How long does it normally take a forum to get going? How long did this one take?

You just have to be patient. You guys just started the thing in July.
Nerfhaven's been around since '02. That's awhile to amass some membership. Plus it's run by the top Nerfers in the Nerfing world.
You can't expect the whole world to come charging when there are other spudgun forums also.

Kid, I speak from experience when I say that nobody has a reason to give a rat's ass about your friend's
forum. There are a million of them out there and most of them don't have any real reason why you should join
it instead of another. Forums are usually used to communicate with other people who share a hobby or interest
in common with the rest of the members. Why should someone join an infant forum with few members little
composition or focus when they could join an already successful message board which has proven its worth.
Furthermore, by posting in a forum that you have posted in a grand total of twice (counting this one), you only
discredit yourself by making us think you are only here to advertise and have absolutly nothing else to bring to
this forum.

Wow, that was nice. I wouldn't want to advertise and get banned from a forum I waited a week to join. So then, the forum needs something original to get more people to join. I will have to think about it for a while.

Piney's right, you need a reason for someone to join yet ANOTHER forum. You need content, good admin team, good focus, etc and so on.

Maybe you're an idiot because you can't capitalize correctly. You need a reason to stfu, and being a hypocrite is it.

1. Capitalizing two letters is from holding down the shift key too long. Spelling is a mental mistake of not knowing how to spell something. Two different things, therefore Me != hypocrite.
2. The last post was 15 days ago, and your post isn't even on the topic of the thread.
3. I actually gave him advice along with critisism on spelling. Why make a big deal about it if I helped him?
4. If we really want to be grammar Nazis, STFU and other acronyms are captalized unless they are considered nouns.
As I've said before, get it going before the fact. Don't try to make people join by giving them incentives (i.e. no "COME HERE AND BECOME A MOD!" stuff.) Make people join by having a good forum. Make it look like it's been around. Don't have like 15 subforums with one topic each. Have a few dedicated subforums.
