I was visiting my local Wal-Mart to check if they had the new Magstrikes in yet. And I come to find out they are getting rid of all of their Nerf items and no longer stocking them.

All they had in the clearance aisle were a few Fireflys, glow darts, tag darts, screaming darts, and some footballs. I now have to drive 45 minutes to an hour to purchase anything Nerf. We Have a K-mart which carries more of the Buzzbee guns than nerf, and a Shop Ko which only carries the ball cannon lanchers thingy ma-jig.

I'm wondering is this happening anywhere else.

My local target (45 minutes away) Has disappointed me twice at one time. I remember when I first went their a long time ago and I got the at2k twin packs and was very happy. Like 4 months later I go their with about 35 dollars. I was going to buy 3 twinpacks for an upcoming small war. I looked, looked, and looked some more. I didn't see them so I asked a guy where te nerf section was and he said they stopped carrying nerf a long time ago.

Definitely a sad ordeal, to be honest with gas prices your better off paying for the shipping than driving 45 min in the car. At least you’ll know what’s in stock this way.

That's really odd. Where are you people located? The Wal-Mart and all of the Target stores in my area still carry Nerf. In fact, they all expanded their sections. They use to only have an endcap at Target devoted to Nerf, but now they have the one side of an aisle. The Wal-Mart by me just finished a remodel and they gave the back corner of the store to Nerf.

I'm experiencing the same thing at my target and wal*mart. Wal*mart has an even bigger nerf section and target has half on an aisle devoted to nerf.

I only ask because I'm thinking of trying these and it would suck if the balls got all covered with hairs after a while.

I went to a Walmart near my lakehouse and one day they had about 10 crossfires, 1 nightfinder, 5 fireflys, 5 ttg's, and about 20 mavs. A couple days later I went there and there was 1 crossfire and 4 fireflies, not even in the right area, they replaced that with Barbies! :(

Bolt, ye are truly a god among men. Ye have earned yeself a place on Enigma's list of heroes, right below Sean Connery and directly above Papa Smurf...a highly honorable slot indeed.

This is the time of year when most retail stores reset their displays, so just because the Nerf section is gone now doesn't mean it will not be back at some point in the future. They might have just gotten rid of it temporarily to make room for something else, usually a large or seasonal item.

I would not worry too much about it, my local Target seems to go without a Nerf section at some point each year as well, they clearance out every thing and the display is used for some other item, but the Nerf stuff always comes back eventually. :(

Suck it up, fellas. Geeze.

I live on an island, approximately 50 miles over ocean from the nearest Wal*Mart, Home Depot, or Toys "R" Us.

We have absolutely NO Nerf blasters of any kind in the stores here on the island where I live. People here basically play with real firearms in the hills, huntin' and all that.

That in and of itself hasn't stopped me from amassing a fairly decent arsenal, consisting of blasters from the spring-powered days (Sharpshooter II, Expand-a-Blast, Triple Torch, Sawtooth), to SuperMaxx (SM1500, SM5000, SM350s), to AirTechs (AT2000s), to Lanard products, N-Strike and Dart Tag sets.

I've taken it to myself that if I'm going to pursue this hobby for my kids (yeah, and for myself :( ), I've got to use all the resources available...that means taking advantage of NerfHaven's "Trading" section, and making contact with some pretty cool people who can hook you up with what you need/ want.

Sure, you may not have the immediate gratification of grabbing the thing off the shelves, taking it home, and ripping into the box like you would a prom date, but heck, most of you could use a little discipline in your lives anyway. A little patience, crap like that. I'm STILL waiting for the Magstrike I ordered from Wal*Mart online.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me with my arsenal (especially one who sold me most of my stuff), and I hope to do business with y'alls soon.

But next week I take another business trip to Honolulu....four days....lots of time to scout every Wal*Mart for some "loot". If not, some of you can expect a call from me for some "supplies".

I think that half of the fun of attaining Nerf blasters is going to the store and seeing what's on the shelves, and what's not. Even if I have to jump on a plane to do so.

I for one agree with pineapple, you can always get it online at ebay and nh and a ton of other online stores. Of course theres only one thing i dont like about buying already modded nerf guns. The stasfaction of doing it yourself. But its either that, or having to drive 45-60 minutes to get the nerf.

To nerf or not to nerf, that is the question!
