In getting a Magstrike I also got a vest and eyeglasses that don't fit my 6' 5" frame, so I had an idea.
Why not make a target to shoot at to practice my aim and test my new guns out.

I got two 6 packs of dry floral foam (2-5/8 X 3-1/2 X 8 inches bricks) and one Styrofoam 6" ball from a craft store.
Then I taped up the bricks in a 3 by 4 block (taping them up keeps them from spreading flaked off foam everywhere).
Then using some plastic pieces from the packaging of the Longshot I pushed in some pegs for the glasses to sit on and attached the "head" to the block.
Finally I strapped the vest and I was good to go.

Another way to do this mod would be push a divot in the top of the bricks and sit the "head" in there instead of pegging it in, so you could shoot off the "head".

Oh almost forgot the foam cost about $13 total.

PINEY EDIT: Yeah, Ronster's right...better in General Nerf. Fixed yer title, too.
ps. Thanks for the move and title change

Um... It's not really a mod.
But, it's kinda cool nonetheless...

Thats pretty cool. I'd love to put a few stefans through his head. That would be awesome!

That is pretty cool. You could use it for a hostage is you don't have enough people to be hostages. It would work awesome for target practice too. I think I'll make myself one.

Cool! It's much better than a TechTarget target and that's what I use... I think I'll make it using the big stack of foam that's just lying around.

I really like this but I need something that is a little bit harder. Something that would make a good pinging sound after hitting it. Maybe warping some sheet metal. It would also need to take a hit from a Titan's stefan and not be damaged. The glasses and vest can be damaged just not the frame. The frame can be dented I guess. Your design looks really good for indoors with stock darts.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

I took it outside and hit it with stefans, I don't know about you, but putting dents into targets is fun (Headshot!), plus it is very light and easy to carry around.

If it is light enough you could mount it with some string or wire, give a bit of a push and you can practice leading your target. Or does anyone else remember those remote controlled sky trek things. Basically it was like a train that ran on this sting but it had a hook on it. In theory , don’t know how sturdy it was, you could set it up on a ceiling or backyard and hang your target and it would move on the track.

You could add some flashing steel to the head so you don't kill the target.

I like the idea. I ussually set up 2 targets for people to test an airsoft gun out at my airsoft wars. I hardly host nerf wars, so airsoft is my backup game.

Very nice. I've got a wig mannequin on one side of my room that usually serves this purpose. He's definitely showing signs of wear. There's a large ink splatter and small hole in his brow from a pen-cartridge rifle, and I took a big chunk out of his nose with the KISS-3. I've been thinking about giving him a new water-putty face and a paintjob. I'll post it if I do it.
