I was rummaging through my room, to see if I could find a new spring to fit it in my Nite Finder. While looking for a stronger spring, I found an old Tek 6 spring, which gave me an idea.

So I took apart my Nite Finder, took the spring off the plunger, stretched the
Tek 6 spring a bit in the middle, and slid it inside the NF spring. Just as I thought. It was a perfect fit.

So the next morning ( It was 1:00 AM when I found the spring.) I took it outside to do some range testing
The shots were taken with 1 in. Stefans weighted with one bb, shot out of a crayola barel from about 5.5 feet up(all air restrictors were also removed) :

1st Shot: 50 ft.
2nd Shot: 68.5 ft. (there was a large skip here, more like 60. )
3rd Shot: 56.5 ft.
4th Shot: 56 ft.
5th Shot: 56.1 ft.

Average: 57.4
I was getting some wind from the east

This was pretty simple and effective as far as I can tell, but you would probably get better results with a DT3 spring.

If you have trouble reassembleing the Nite Finder, Press both hands down the shell before screwing it back down. If every area except the area near the plunger snaps into place, It is because the new spring is overlapping the piece that keeps the spring closer to the plunger tube. What I did was take a flathead screwdriver, and shift the spring closer to the plunger tube, so that you can put the other half back on.

Enjoy!

This isn't a spring replacement, he added another spring between the plunger shaft and the original spring

Yeah, it is. But I am adding another spring to the stock NF spring, giving it more force.

I did something similar to this once. I added my ttg spring to the ex-3 nf stock spring and it got ranges of 55-60 ft. The only problem was that it was REALLY inaccurate. If I tried to hit a target my dart would either veer a little to the side or go right over where I was aiming, so I decided to just have one spring.

Edit- My dart didn't just go over, it went to the side (both to the right and to the left)and it never shot out at the same spot. It could go left one day, but the next day it could go right.

this is because the spring is stronger than the origional spring in the gun and you already got a feel for the old one. Just aim a little lower than normal. This happens to me with my (oldversion)TTG and now I can hit a can of peanuts 10in. wide 11in. high from 50'' accurately(give or take)not to brag.
This is my rifle there are many like it but this one is mine. Without me my rifle is nothing without my rifle I am nothing.AMEN.
