I have friend who uses megas in their lock n load. I believe that rplacing the barrel with pvc will give him extra range, has anyone done this? Were their results good? Ranges?

I do not want answers from people who have NOT done this. thanks.

I've used two PVC'd lock and loads at one of our wars, they were OMC's. They perfomed beautifully with a mini bungee on the end, too. I'd say it's worth the effort. Wait, is he using mega stefans or just mega darts?

You shouldn't have to use any sort of ammo type besides the one you perfer. It's your gun, your playing style, your life and thus, you should make the decisions.

It's your choice, not your buddy's.

Yeah, for megas/laramis you'll want to put in a PVC barrel. Make a couple length barrels, like 3", 3 1/2", 4", and compare ranges. Go for the best length, there's not really a certain definate length of the barrel that you need to use, I've used 3" on my NF and it works fine.
