Then take it out. This was my 3rd modified gun and I did this mod without any instruction. So don't be retarded ans use common sense.

You know how the barrel separates so that a dart can slide in there? Look down the second half and you should see the familiar peg-and-ring air restrictor. Take that out.

In all honesty though, if you've read the entire thread and still can't figure out what's going on in your gun you might not want to open it. It's intensely complicated, and even though I've had mine open plenty, it still sometimes takes me multiple tries to put it back together correctly, which is very time consuming.

Also, just taking out the air restrictor will not really give you any huge advantage. You probably won't even notice any difference. If that's all you're going to do, I'd suggest you not even open it up. But it's your call.

I'm gonna necro-bump with a question on barrel modification. I have studied the pictures, and think I begin to understand, but still need a few things cleared up. If I want to use brass, then I would stick a piece of 19/32 brass down the barrel right? With possibly a 9/16 insert? Is there any cutting/filing I have to do? Do I do anything to the moving bolt piece, or just the barrel?

Thanks ;).

To fit over the stock spring would have to have a 3/4" ID and an uncompressed length of roughly 3-7/8". The ID if the stock spring is 1/2" if I remember correctly with an uncompressed length of around 3-7/8".

mine is still only shooting about 35-40 feet on a level plane from about 5' up. could I have dremeled the restrictor out wrong?

Could some one please help me I took out the AR and added a BBB spring. It wouldn't stay cocked so I decided to trim the spring but I can't. What should I use, I tried wire cutters, a saw and even a chisel. So what should I use?

You need to add a stronger trigger plate spring. The stock trigger plate spring isn't strong enough to keep the plunger held tight.

No. A drill press with a long enough stroke will probably be easier to use, or you can try to steadily hold a drill with the bolt sled securely in a vise.

You don't *need* one; a drill will suffice.

But seriously, if there's any way you can afford it, go get one. They're freakin' awesome :P .

Is this really an easy mod? do springs fly out and stuff or is it as easy as you say it is because im getting a LS soon and im thinking about taking out the air restrictors but ive heard that its really hard.

Then take it out. This was my 3rd modified gun and I did this mod without any instruction. So don't be retarded ans use common sense.

Chill. It was a dumb question, but calm down.

If you are not careful, a few springs may pop out, like the one used to hold the scope, but nothing vital. Just remember where all the parts go, and it is a very easy mod.

P.S.: The ' key and the shift key are located next to your right pinky. Use them.

How new are you to modding?
If you have experience with modding guns, it really shouldn't be that hard. Look at the pictures from this thread to make sure your internals are right.
And the plunger tube must be turned to a certain position for the gun to go back together. Make sure that is right.

Two quick Questions
1)Should you have the o-rings there, if so where do u get them?
2)Could you do this without a dremel?

1. It will have a better seal if you add another o-ring. You can get them at most hardware stores.
2. Yes you could but it would be a royal pain in the ass if you didn't have a dremel or drillpress.

Yes, you can do it without a dremel, but you will need a towel and a vise clamp to do it. I have done numerous without one.

I just drilled out the AR supports with a small drill bit. Get the drill bit underneath the support and when you drill pull gently upward.

Not so. CaptainSlug doesn't own a dremel, and look at all his ass-kickin' work...
