I play with whatever is on the gun, which pretty much rules out LED lights... of course if none of your guns have anything you can just carry a regular flashlight.

However, the flash did provide an instant picture of the room. Your brain can't process all the information that your eyes send it, but your sensory memory can keep the image long enough to get a picture of where someone might be hiding after you've taken cover again. I think I would still use the Firefly in a dark war, I'd just make sure to take better care in hiding the little red "on" light and take better cover.
