[The Infinite Shindig]

I'm going to compile a list of Longshot threads temporarily. There is a lot of information and discussion about this gun going on and I think we somehow should attempt to keep track of it. The list I have below is what I managed to compile while hard at work. If I miss something, please post it and I will add it to my list when I get home.

I am only providing useful links. Yes, I do realize that is subjective on my part. I'm limiting them to NH discussions. When everyone (including my mom) has one, this topic will be pulled.

Edit: At this point, I will not update unless there is a significant amount of information to contribute. This would mean a major retailer carrying it or a modification. I'd like to see something from the second. If you have a Longshot, mod it, ignore all the other Nerf sites (if there were any) and post it on the Haven.

UPDATE FOR ILLINOIS:

I called around and the most promising response I got was that it was sold out. The last Target I called they told me "they had to take it off the shelves" but they did have a few there, the guy said.

I personally cant wait to get a hold of either the magstrike or the longshot. There is only one link to the longshot that will ship to Canada but it is an additional $15.00 for shipping.

Hit Target today, found a magstrike but no SKU for the Longshot or a new Titan or BBB. Judging by the display I saw for the magstrike I wouldn't be surprised to see LSs or the rereleases in another week or so.

EDIT: Went to Target AGAIN today before I saw Ryan's post, and Target had the SKU, display and everything else up in full. Had to kindly ask them to bring some out, and even saw the tags for the BBT And BBB rerelease. I just figured that it had hit Illinois and wasn't worth updating since everyone seemed to have'em now. Yeah.


Anyone else entertaining the thought of buying Titans en masse for some awesome volleys? (imagine even 5 or 6 arrows fired at you or from above.) Yeah, me neither. So far instead of using the other half of the bolt, I've shoved a superball onto the orange knob-free part of the slider. I'll put up pics if anyone REALLY wants to see it, but it's nothing special. This way I can use the gun stock for the time being and I'll mod it later. According to Carrtoon's write up, it requires a bit more work than I have time for right now and I'm happy with the range out of the box. I pretty much bought it purely for aesthetics anyway.

I tried using the "volley fire" technique someone posted before and it does work pretty well to some degree. More to follow, I'm sure.

Well LiterSize, I found one at Target. Boo ya. I don't what part of IL you are from but I got mine at the target in Wheaton. There was one other left. Already modified and let me tell you the thing shoots awesome. Will post a write-up later today.

I deffinately need to get the magstrike. My PC just crapped out on me. It drains all its air at once. I have heard of them doing this once, so it's just got old and does nothing but farts. I will just the PC clip in the magstrike and the bladder for a semi-auto 2k mod. I can wait on the LS, I don't even think that they are out around me anyways.

Reporting from South-Central PA. The Magstrike can be acquired from the Toys 'r' us in York (albeit at $35), while both the Magstrike and Longshot can be purchased at the Hunt Valley Wal-Mart in Maryland.

Many of the other Wal-Marts I called said that they were re-doing inventory next week, and that they'd probably come in at that time.

I hope this helps some people get the blasters they need.
