Wow. Ohio, North Carolina, and Illinois, now. Glad to see the Longshot is making a widespread debut now.

Munson, you got yours off of that website right?

If so, damn, I was hoping it was somewhere in Illinois.

As a side note, the AR, looks like the NF config. Can we get more pics of the internals (like clip mech, more of the ARs, and whatever else)?

Ok to clarify I mean if you are shooting at a target really long away, you are going to angle the gun with it angled how far can it get stock or modded. Like if possible post the longest shot that youve gotten from the gun.

Walter - I noticed those stickers too, but didn't bother pulling them off. I belive Piney was right when he said they initially wanted sonic darts, but changed it before release. Funny thing is, though, my friend was playing with my LS, and he fired it at me from a decent distance, and since he had to aim around a railing to hit me, he continually missed me. One of them flew right by my ear, and the hole in the dart's tip caused a low whistling sound that you can only hear from close by.

I think they wanted them to make noise, but the noise just wasn't loud enough in their current configuration to really call them "sonic."

What does everyone (who's got one, stared at it, took it apart, etc) think of the faux rifling inside the barrel? I don't see any reason in making a barrel with that on the inside, except boredom.

Tagger darts also make that low whistling noise because of a hole in the tip of the dart.

There's fake rifling in the barrel? That may be one of the things that screw up the accuracy of the stock darts.

It's like rifling in a gun, but they're just straight lines, you can see them in the second and third thirds of the barrel (Assuming you count the removeable front as a third).

i went to my local Wal-Mart and was looking for a few more Maverics for my local nerf club. You would have loved the look on my face when you saw what i found. Both the Magstrike and the Longshot. This is the Super Wal-Mart on Route 26 in Frederick, MD

We purchased one of each and i put a Longshot on Layaway till payday.

We took them back to my college and Tried them out. The Longshot worked beautifully. As soon as i get mine however, i will be replacing the spring on it. It seems a little weak to me.

Seems that the Longshot is popping up all over the place. :D Good news.

My suggestion, if you want to get one now, go to your local Super Wal-Mart. Odds are, they have one or two. Ours had 6! o_O

(Not me in the pic. Thats the President of the Nerf Club here at Frederick Community College)

And Yes, there is Rifiling in the barrell. Seems kind of pointless for something as simple as a nerf gun.

I just got one at the Orem, Utah TRU for $35. Stupid TRU jacked the price up 5$. Well, I guess that's to be expected for TRU, but trust me. It's worth the money. I replaced the spring with a 3B spring and angled it got 124'

124'? Wow, that is a lot. Even my BBB doesn't get that... which I find kinda weird. Are you sure you only replaced the spring? And was the wind blowing at all? Correct me if I am wrong at being a bit suspicious. I would understand though if you ADDED the BBB spring

Yeah. Please measure the ranges flat to give people (like me) what a modded longshot ranges are without having to shoot upwards.

It might be not entirely on-topic, but this is the most suitable thread for this.

Update on new guns availablity:
The Magstrike and Longshot are now available in Central Jersey. I just bought two of each at the Toms River Wal-mart.

This is also a little off topic, but I also amazingly found a magstrike and longshot over here in Kansas City, KS. I was very amazed to find it at walmart because that was the first and only place I looked. Oh and I love the ROF and the range is pretty good stock, but the accurcy could be greaty improved. Maybe in a week or two, I'll open it up.

YAY KANSAS .

Wow, that was uber off topic. Sorry about that.

I first saw a Longshot and MagStrike about 2 weeks ago at Jefferey's Toys in downtown San Francisco. They were selling each for $50.
I didnt get one because im saving up to move in with a friend. I'll probably buy one after I move. I can see them becoming popular at my zombie game if it ever gets going, due to them looking slightly more realistic than past guns.

The acope is just a tube with a sight in it Im sure you could mod it and fit another scope inside of it. It is mostly to "look cool." I put it on my maverick so I can be like Snak Pliskin.Posted Image
