I was under the impression that the tap was kinda like a swift shot to the head or a pistol whip. For those Halo players I kinda thought of it as a melee hit. I was thinking the same thing in seige, even though most were trying to steer clear of Hersh, Phil and myself in our little triangle of death, but I thought about it and it seems that if you think of it as a melee hit it still works. I actually kept forgeting this rule. I ran flat out of ammo twice and ran around like a pansy of fire trying to find some instead of going Conan and try to make so close kills. For a minute when I snuck up on Shindigs brother ( I refered to him as earmuffs all day) I had thought about tapping him, but he called back in right in front of me, and Hersh was on the other side, going out of my way not to give this poor guy another welt very well might have cost me my precious last life.

Oh and by the way, I did this to Howard too in the second to the last round. Sorry man I had no idea you were out and either way, sorry about the point blank range shot. I swear if I wasn't about ten feet tall and built like Hersh ( we the lunchbox folk) you probably would have kicked my ass. No hard feelings, and if so, maybe I'll let you shot me in the crotch with my airtech from two feet away.

I think you have the tap rule mixed up. If your gun is loaded, its more of a mercy kill than anything else. Its like, "I know you are gonna get me if I run, so just tap me"

I think you should be able to tap if you don't have ammo because you are fucked if you dont have ammo. What are you supposed to do the whole time run away like Jimmy and Nixon?

That defeats the purpose of the rule. If you have no ammo, you aren't a threat. The tap rule is just a way of being a nice guy, and at the same time, being prepared if you have to take a shot a second later. It's nicer than putting a hole in someone from point blank, that's all. If you have no ammo, then you're done and should be until you come across more.

Hey... H2h rocks! If you use it well...

I wasn't able to be there because... Well I couldn't. I got home the day before from Taiwan and was sleepy so I slept. Besides, me and Dark Shrimp are the only ones who can hit people from 15+' and do not tend to like shooting at other things.

I didn't say I hated H2H, I merely stated that attaching a 3 foot long piece of foam to a gun to tap people in a war was what annoyed me. If you hadn't realized me and, i think it was Phil, had quite the time bludgening each other with H2H weapons between wars.
