i made a c02 powered nerf gun out of a broken bb gun and i was wondering if anybody else has ever done something like this. If anybody has i would love to see pics of their guns.I would put pictures but i dont have a camera

what is your feeding system? Is it a clip or just load one by one? One by One would defeat the purpose of the c02 system! What kindof bb gun? How did you make a nerf gun out of a broken bb gun? there are flaws in your post!

just to let you guys know the range on this gun is incredible i cant even measure how far it can go because my house isnt big enough. i would guess it goes around 100ft + at least. the barrel is 7 inches long.

you do have to load the ammo 1 by 1 but the pupose of the c02 gun is so you dont have to pump anything plus you get great range and accuracy. i had a broken co2 powered bb gun i got for christmas and i tore it apart the co2 system was fine but the trigger just didnt work if i push on this little button hard enough it shoots it. and give me a break this was my first gun and it only took me like 10 minutes.

I wouldn't reccomend co2 for nerf use as its a dirty and inconsistant power supply. It will make the darts fly, but I could just hook up my air compressor to shoot a nerf dart 400 feet if I wanted to.

i admit that the co2 dies down after the first couple shot and that the first three or four shots are way to powerful but i dont have any other materials to make nerf guns.

mad mike, if you're going to post about a "gun" you made to shoot Nerf typed darts, and you don't have a camera, it would benefit the users and readers of your post thread by at the very LEAST, giving a few more specifics.



Munson 20 asked simply, what was the base weapon you used to platform the homemade? A quick check by you would have some indications as to what you have on hand. I myself have a Daisy PowerLine 622, which is a CO2 powered .22 caliber pellet pistol (modeled after the Beretta M9/ 92 9mm pistol), which broke it's advance arm for the rotary 6- shot magazine.

One of the options I'm considering is to convert it to fire NERF type darts, by simply replacing the pop-up hinged barrel, with a PETG tube barrel fed by a 1/2" SCH 40 PVC breech loader. It would maintain the entire firing system and CO2 assembly, which were unaffected by the breakage of the rotary mag advance arm.

I'm opting to attempt to repair the advance arm with silver solder, and a very steady hand. If it doesn't work, NERF conversion is the second option.

See? Not too hard to do, if you're willing to take some time to figure it out.



Secondly, you should listen to Viper. He does indeed have experience with using CO2 as a source of power with Nerf blasters, and I used to give him a ribbing about it. I believe he experimented with Brass Eagle paintball markers as his base power source, and rebarreled them. I agree with him, they were way powerful, at least to use in a common arena with other Nerf blasters, and he did manage to sell a few of them on eBay, I think. If I do my project, it's only for R&D and not much else.



Lastly, allow me to be the first to welcome you, and also to inform you of making your best effort to use good grammar and punctuation. We here at NerfHaven are indeed picky about using things like the SHIFT key, and other such niceties. Take your time on your posts, it's no contest to try to pound out a post as fast as you can. The base gun that I used was a P22 made by gamo, I bought it a Academy for around $50.
