I didn't see this info in any other topics, so I decided to make a new one.

Hasbro.com now has the Longshot listed.

You cannot purchase it from the site, and I haven't seen any online retailers stocking it yet, but since they have it listed, it can't be too far away. Maybe late August, or early September? But, then again, I've heard people have contacted Hasbro, and they said that it'd be out 'for the Christmas season'. I would think that would mean maybe November, but stores these days start all the Holidays sooooo early that "Christmas" might mean September.

So, I hope this isn't a useless topic, since I haven't seen this info anywhere else yet.

It gave the site a sort of 'homy' feeling.

Did you know that "m" can sometimes look like "rn" when read quickly?

Notice next to the price approx. retail meaning how much it will probably cost. Not out yet as you said and may be close but you can't really judge yet.

I'm a recieving associate/truck unloader at Wal-Mart and they start getting their Christmas stock about mid-August. I've got friends who are keeping an eye out for both the Longshot and the Magstrike, which we unfortunately don't have yet.

Well, we already knew how much it would cost since about quarter-past 11 AM, Feb 11 2006.

Also, In the desciption, it says 'foam arrows'. I think that may be a misprint, because we already know definitivley that this gun uses the new collarless darts. However, maybe Nerf arrows fit over the barrel tip? I don't know, but I'm thinking it's just a misuse of a phrase in the advertising.

Not a pointless topic, I think it is a good discussion about when it is going to come out! It looks very cool in the pictures, don't you all think so? I was more excited for the longshot than the magstrike becuase I just got a magstrike, and I expected more than what I got! I think the Longshot will be easily moddable! What do you think?

Hey gang. I don't post much, but I felt that this is post-worthy. I have personal confirmation that the Longshot CS-6 is available for purchase. I found it at my local Wal-Mart tonight for $29.88. I will be buying one by the end of the week, so if you want visual confirmation, PM me and you shall have it by the weekend.

Woke up too damn early for my usual regiment, but I was conscious enough to do a Google/Froogle search for a Nerf Longshot, and I share unto the collective my results:

Nice finds! I think I might order the LongShot from that store. Even though I'm paying more for it, it doesn't make much of a difference, as I doubt it'll be available in the UK anyway and even if it was the total cost for it if I order it from would probably be the same as how much it would cost in a store over here (£30-35/$60-70). Now all I gotta do is persuade my Dad so I can use his card!

EDIT: Dam! They don't accept interntional credit cards! I guess I'll have to find another way, or somewhere else to get it now. :(

Quartermaster, do feel free to start a new topic with pictures of your Longshot, preferably with pictures of the actual box on a Target shelf. It would be greatly appreciated by almost all of the members here.

I'll see what I can do, Ompa. I might not get the ability to obtain the actual blaster until later in the week. For anyone who is wondering, the Wal-Mart I saw the Longshot at was the one in Fishkill, NY.
