Sorry if this question is noobish, but I'm never sure if my NF is well modified. It only gets around 45 ft.-50 ft. flat. I put in a crayola barrel and I use stock darts. My gun is not rubber-banded. Back to the question: What are good ranges for a modified NF?

Those ranges are great for a crayola barreled NF with no bands. Stefans should get your more range.

It also depends on what other bits of modding you've done as to knowing if it's "well modded". For example, if you did a spring replacement (to a far stronger spring) as well as the barrel switch, then it may not be "well modded"; but, if you're using the stock spring and only changed out the barrel, then congrats, that's a really good modding job!

As to your question, ranges for a mod will always vary based on what darts you're using. Mine, which is brassed, gets anywhere between 37-65ft depending on the darts, if I've got it banded at the time, ect. Generally figure that crayola'd nitefinders will get less range than brassed nitefinders, which are often between 40-60ft depending on the factors I've listed.

Well, I didn't replace a spring or anything I just added the barrel. I also air sealed it by wrapping duck tape around the places where air might escape.

If that's the case, you can pretty safely say it's been well modded. Good job :)

My nf is modded with a pvc barrel and I use 2 bands along with the plunger being oiled. I use normal darts and I get about 50ft. but that isnt straight and level. It's more in a ballistic arc. If yours is straight its great.

Lucky you guys, mine is PVC modded and shoots stock darts 35' (straight) unbanded. But I might use the existing PVC as a coupler for a new CPVC barrel. The darts in a spring gun obviously should be snug in its barrel
