I think someone else posted this, but if nobody has yet, here it is:
A few days ago, I made up my first stefan using steel bb's. When I first shot it, the ranges wernt as good as I thought (heavier weights). And plus, I only nerf inside, so my dad thought that they would make dents in the walls when they hit them (they hit walls kinda hard). So he suggested for me to get some kinda felt foam protecter thing... Heres a picture:

It's just alot smaller, my brother thought they were some kinda drugs.
It's like a sticker, except one side is fuzzy and the other is sticky.
Anyways, I got them at Canadian Tire, 75 for 3 or so dollars (Canadian dollars). So when I got home, I stuck one to the hot glue (dried) on the end of the dart and I shot it. I compared between my first shot without the foam thing and the second shot with the foam thing. The foam thing addon went about 5-7 feet farther then my first one that didn't have the foam thing. And plus, it didn't do any damage to the walls. This is just 1 dart I tested though, I have to make some more later.
Sorry, not much pictures.

I think that there was a guy on E-Bay selling darts like these a while ago. I never ordered any, but they didn't look bad. I suppose that if you want to have indoor wars that these would be helpful since they're less likely to break things. But outside, I see no reason to put felt on the end of the dart. It's just an extra step that has almost no tangable effect in outdoor wars.
It's a nice idea, though.

The purple head will fall off if fired out of a high powered gun enough times.
Forsaken, to prevent the purple head from falling out add some hot glue or some other kind of glue to the back of it and then stick it back on the foam. I did this with one of my stock darts to test CPVC and brass barrels on my Switch Shots.

You can buy 500 felt dots on a roll for $5.07 from McMaster. Part# 8771K22
I'm using them because my darts are made with steel washers adhered with liquid nails instead of BBs with hot glue.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

the felt is fuzy but will not decrease impact, they are made from a stiff material and are made for the bottom of chairs. if you want less impact on walls go for a dart that hits with more surface area (flat rather than round) and go for a material that can contract when it hits a wall
