THINGS YOU WILL NEED...
- Needle and thread
- Utility straps ( Can be found on old lunchboxes you do not need anymore )
- Dart tag vest
- Camo material, ( Optional )
- Scissors
- Model Knife ( Optional )
- Marker or pen
- Tape
Know there are a couple optional things you could do here, first there is no reason you could not just use a sewing machine but I found it more accurate and easier to use the thread and needle on this so when I messed up I did not have restart the entire sewing process all over again. And if you do not use the machine right, you will shread the foam material. Secondly, you do not have to use the camo material but it made the vest look less childish. Finally the knife is also optional because you will not need it after you cut the holes for the straps.
STEPS FOR MAKING VEST...
1- Lay your material out on a good sized table.
2- Begin buy traceing the vest on your camo cloth, be sure you have enough for both sides.
3- Carefully cut out the cloth with a extra 1'' margin of error line.
4- Carefully sew the cloth onto your vest, when you are done with both sides take a break and go find twenty darts.
5- When you feel refreshed from your break come back, and with scissors or the knife carefully cut away the excess camo material and throw it out.
6- Tape the end of the utility strap to the edge of the vest on the reverse side.
7- Carefully make a loop matching the size of the dart then tape it off, do this until you have two rows of ten darts on the front of your vest and on the back of your vest.
8- Sew the straps down and THEN remove the tape.
9- Adjust your vest so it fits you.
10- Thats it, go pat yourself on the back.
I will try to get some pics uploaded but that will happen only if I can find my picture cable.
