WE here at the {SF3G} are mildly into airsoft. We're really big into paintball, but we generally just airsoft with each other. We travel to paintball with people. We just sort of go to Laz's house to airsoft when we've got nothing to do.

Anyway, I generally use a Tokyo Mauri M14 AEG (The one with the OD stock) at 380 FPS, with one the Hi-Cap mags.

I am 90% airsoft now, 10% NERF ( I still love NERF though, you can never just leave it ). My team travels anywhere from 2-8 hours for any given airsoft operation. By operation I mean large scale ops (100-300 people), not just two teams going at it on a paintball feild.

My Primary is a full metal G3-SG/1 fully upgraded to 410fps. My secondary and CQB AEG is an MC51. My sidearm is a WE hi-capa tactical master:

G3-SG/1 - CA metal body, cocking tubes, RAS and RIS panels. HA C-mag, NCSTAR aimpoint replica, HK mount.

The gun IS black, the photos are missleading. The only part that is not black is the metal part of the stock that connects to the body ( the original stock body of the Marui G3-SG/1 is grey, the metal kit is black ). Havent gotten around ot painting the grey part yet.

Tokyo Marui SG/1 - $285
410 fps full durability upgrade w/ installation - $185
Metal body - $135
Metal Cocking tubes - $65
RAS kit - $125
Vert grip - $19
RIS pannels - $30
Real HK scope mount - $80
Aimpoint replica - $30

So that equals out to over $900. Expensive yes, but the gun itself and the upgrade was a christmas present. Everything else I bought and installed myself. I also bought the things over time, not all at once. I am the Light Machine Gunner for my team. The gun still sint done though. Still need to put in a tightbore barrel and get a grenade launcher for it.

Funny thing is, theres no eat shit-rs in airsoft either. With FPS limits on feilds, snip-ers shooting 500fps dont have a very big advanteve over an AEG shooting 420 with a tightbore. Plus the ranges you play at dont let snip-ers really snip-e. Really the are Marksmen, but still nothing an AEG cant do.

Wow. I'm stunned. Those guns were awesome. Could you actually go hunting with rifles like that NinjZ? 500 fps limit and they can go higher?!! I can imagine that would go through quite a few things! Also, how accurate are those things? The ammo is round, so I would guess they wouldn't be.

I myself am not big into airsoft, but do have a Walther P22 handgun that I mess around with. Nothing expensive, but it's fun to shoot at black birds.

I was thinking about doing a little bit of airsoft on the side, mostly because I saw the UTG M87SA Spring Shotgun Pistol Grip. The gun looks soooo b.a. But I decided i should probably thin down my nerf arsenl before I get into Airsoft.
Ninjz: Those are some sweet guns, Doesn't the all metal body get heavy?

You would be very surprised on how accurate the .2g or .25g bbs are. Airsoft bullets dont go in a ballistic arc, they actually arc up so you have to aim down for close targets. Ive seen 750 fps on guns.

Ive seen airsoft guns that are bolt eat shit r guns that can hit a quarter from 150 ft. and can shoot over 200 ft. Ive seen guns shoot straight through cardboard and even soda cans. Some guns are so powerful they can leave welts or cause bleeding. Those I dont want. I want guns that I can shooat at m friends and not feel guilty. As soon as the money order and the shipping gets there and back I will have this:

cant wait to test it out.

Haha, you could go small game hunting with a HIGHLY upgraded airsoft gun shooting metal bbs, but that only happens overseas in countires where real firearms are banned to civilians.

Stateside, no one shoots that hot. I know on the eastcoast atleast, most organised wars have a limit of 500fps for bolt-action and semi-auto only rifles. Automatic rifles have a limit of 420. This is all using a .2g bb. Also 500fps isnt as powerfull as you would think.

eat shit-r rifles can be pretty accurate, but with the 500fps limit it makes them almost useless. Your average engagement distance for a normal AEG is about 100'-150' for outdoors play. A 500fps rifle shootinga heavier round ( for accuracey ) wont go much farther than a 420fps AEG with a tightbore barrel. Also throw in wind and other obstructions ( leaves, bushes etc. ) makes the eat shit-r rifles even more useless.

Any decent brand airsoft gun will have adjustable hop-up. This whole arcing up thing you are talking about is stupid as the hop will be adjust for a flat flightpath...

Yes with all the metal ( specially the G3 ) it's pretty damn heavy. My arms were sore after every practice for a few months untill I got used to it. But for the most part, most full metal guns arent that heavy ( for an adult ).

To all those buying springers, dont ever expect much from them. Most of them are crap and sites selling them wont state this. The ones that arent are still pretty pathetic in quality. The UTG line of springers and AEGs are pretty good for starters. Even if they are a bit out of your budget, save up. Better to save your money to get somthing of quality than spend it on somthing cheaper and crappy that you will want to replace almost immediately.

You spent $185 for a sp120 upgrade? What'd they do, replace everything? I have 4 guns my self, I only have pictures of three currently. AE Mp5, kwa mac 11 and WE hicapa. Not shown is my kjw 226 and the three spare mags for the hicapa. The mp5 is down at the moment(my fault, not the gun's, I know you don't have much love for Ics/AE mp5s ninjz) with an electrical problem.

....It's a full upgrade as in systema M120 spring, metal bushings, systema standard ratio steel gears, area1000 ploycarbonate piston and piston head, systema spring guide, new shim job and proffesional installation. $185 is very fair...

Well I got it for christmas so it didn't cost anything B) The red dot, scope mount and extra mags cost me another $100 or so. I like my gas guns more, they're more fun to fire, especially the mac.

if thats to discourage losers that person who came up with that idea is twisted

I am the loser in my group of nerfers! Not really. I just get lucky and shoot a dart that twirls a little in the air and instead of hitting them in the ass they get hit in the back of the head.

I dont have a picture on the computer I am on right now, and the mouse I got from Logitech has failed once again on me, so my computer is unaccessible, but I can show you what I have through numerous links with the most accurate parts I have on it.

I bought a Famas at a little hobbystore thing around here that is basically this:
http://www.kapowwe.c...gory_Code=Marui

The only thing about mine, is the barrel. It is threaded and came with a silincer (non-working of course).

I just recently bought this as well for the Famas:
http://www.kapowwe.c...=AEGairsoftmags

The only thing I have against my rifle here, is that the semi-auto is suprisingly unacurate, so I just leave it on full-auto and pull the trigger quicker. Besides, what to worry with a 2500 round mag?

As for my pistol, I bought it through the same site I showed you the rifle. It is actually my first airsoft gun that required a heftier amount of money to buy it. My USP compact:
http://www.kapowwe.c...t_gas_blowbacks

Other than those guns, I have had others. I have used them and sold them to friend for money for new guns and also for then to have to play with instead of just borrowing the guns every time. They were cheap little plastic electric MP5, M4s and Uzis. I had an AEP (not P for pistol) and a clear shotung. My friends all bought a slightly better gun than the ones I sold to go with it. We have fun.

The FAMAS has an awesome rate of fire but it feels too plasticey for my tastes. Most of the ones ive seen get body creaks very quickly.

Yeah, I like to do ambushes with this this because of the rate of fire. I know it sounds like snip.eing or camping, but what else is a 16 year old kid supposed to do when his 5 other 20some richboy teammates tell me to just stay at the base and defend the flag in CTF? I mean, 1) their guns shoot a LOT harder than mine (and they aren't afraid of turning their FPS up on me) and 2) they were raging lunitics that get pumped by downing a tall boy energy drink, crushing it on their forehead, and then get shot out becuase they run up to the other team at the beginning of the game while they are scouting to see who does what first.

So, I let 2 or 3 get hit and then just sit there and wait for the 2 offensive enemies to come up, then I pull the BF2 shoot, jump, prone in midair, role, crawl, shoot again, reload, swith to my pistol in a split second, and take the other 2 defenders out while I hear the faintly remembered sound of Classic Army M24 SOCOM Military Version Snip.er rifle bolt sycle thorugh and a small click followed by my cursing my gun in every word I know for running out of ammo. But at least I do better than some lunatic 20 year old.

But I love that gun now. It's so comfortable too, and because it is so light, It's easy to go around corners with it. I am thinking of even making a corner shot* kind of thing and get it allowed at the park I go to.

I have been looking for a reasonable upgrade ofr it though to make a little heavier.

Other than Airsoft, I just got into paintball again too. I had to sell my PTextremes for a little extra cash, but I invested in a Tippmann A-5 with an installed E-grip and a flatline barrel. Other than that, I got basic stuff with it like a 20 ounce tank, mask, etc. I got in my first scenario game, and this gun rocked against everyone else. Even 98s, though they shoot just as good. 2 guys had spyders that broke in combat, ones feed neck broke off and the others bolt jammed to no fixing, the bolt came out and injured an other player. But I was able to dodge everyshot from the 98s because of the GREAT anti chop system. With the cyclone feeder, I was able to shoot 2 balls at the rate the 98s shot 1, thus by doging one ball, the other was still there to dodge as well. But I loved it. I now think I will sell some of my guns off and just buy a xbow and LNL to stay in at the wars. I used one once and liked it a lot, more than almost any other gun I have shot.

I like airsoft just for the fact that the guns are a little more realistic.

What do you mean turning their FPS up on you? Airsoft guns dont have adjustable power like paintball guns...

FPS and gear dont matter. In airsoft it's all about tactics. Most of the people on my team and many people in airsoft itself play with stock guns.
