Me and my dad are working on builing the SCAR-N, and since there are no real instuctions on how to build it step by step, I want to hear how others have built it, and any tips on building this gun would be appreciated.

I don't really undestand why General Cole is making articles of clothing with my name on it. First it frightened me, but after a few hours I got over it. It seems obvious that General Cole is hoping to have sex with me.

I honestly don't think anyone has built one yet.

I really would recommend against building the SCAR-N if this is your first homemade. Start with a SNAP or something similar. Maybe you'll even end up with your own design that you may like better than the SCAR-N.

Take my advice: don't bother.

If this is your first home-made, don't even THINK about it.

Try something that you and your Dad would have FUN building, not want to kill each other while building.

Go for a SNAP. They're quick, fairly easy, and most of all: they don't require almost any previous experience!

But, if you want to have a horrible experience, not want to talk to your Dad for weeks, and never want to try another home-made ever again, go ahead and try to build a BS-8.

And don't think this is baseless criticism. Nolan and I almost killed each other working on our's. We took a lot of shortcuts, and there was a lot of shoddy construction, and they're still not 'done' since they don't have any extractors or ejectors, but we managed. If you don't have any experience, you'd just have all that frustration with no payoff.

Try a simpler home-made. Something that wouldn't ahve much frustration and a good payoff.

Sincereley,
Pat

It gave the site a sort of 'homy' feeling.

Did you know that "m" can sometimes look like "rn" when read quickly?

Yeah, I tried to make the F.A.R. as my first gun with my dad. It gave me good experience and we didn't get mad at eachother, but the gun was very hard and on top of that, we didn't even have a dremel so we had to do everything the very very slow way. We never finished the gun, but I was inspired by it to modify other guns and start making designs of my own. Plus, it costs alot, dont waste your money.

Finish that FAR you were working on, because after all, it was the base-gun for the SCAR-N. once you can solve any problems with the FAR, it will definitely make the SCAR-N seem easier to make. I also would definitely not recommend it as the first gun that you would actually complete. Get something finished first that actually works, then work on the harder stuff.

I'm with the others who say to attempt something easier, but if you wanted to study the close-up pics on a computer and clean them up a bit on photoshop or something, most of the parts become clearer to build. If you follow Boltsniper's diagrams, it will be easier, but not by much. Besides, there are few of us here who could even match Boltsniper's genius. Instead of building his design, build your own and get a feel for homemades that way first.

Shut the hell up eat shit, you said nothing important so your being a hypocrate.

-I think you should first try making a gun that you wouldn't even use in a battle, but something to get the concept! Im making a gun right now, so I will post in about a week or two.
