All the standard mods have been done. The casing has been reduced in size. The gun was painted with silver, then flat black. Some of the black was carefully scraped up to give it a weathered, metallic look, revealing the silver underneath. The whole thing is clearcoated for protection.

The range isn't superb. It's better than stock, that's for sure, but it's not like my PETG'd Nite Finder. I made this for a display piece, so it's main value is cosmetic. I had it on my shelf for a year or so.

By the way, I have several Nite Finders, and I don't need this one. So, it is for sale. PM me if you're interested to make an offer.

Sweet paint job! I like how you scraped it up some.

However, I don't like how it's just for show. I think that a nerf gun should be stylish, yet functional... Whoa, that felt weird when I typed that...

Nice work.

What did you use to cover the open spots? I have always just used craft balsa wood, but that can be messy to sand into shape if you're not careful (it still works, Iz just wondering if you had a better idea.

I didn't cover them yet.

Oh, and I just used very fine grit sand paper.

It looks cool, and you did a great job making it look weathered, but I like to make paintjobs as "new-looking" as possible, because they'll end up scratched, dinged, and weathered anyway in a matter of days.

This contest may have some flaws, as people can simply be a deuschbag over the internet. By Lying.

A war-like setting/invitational would be better...

I agree. Even though I DID ask the question, it is an old topic. If you look at how many posts that other people make in a day it is usually 2-5. Please don't start flooding the boards with posts.
