So what type of terrain are we looking at here? What gun's should we bring? Is this gonna be mostly pistols, or a lot of lng-range stuff, or a lot of automatics, or what? I'd like to know just so I don't bring a powerclip to a Crossbow standoff.
Also, from what I've heard, a lot of people uses Mega's almost exclusivley. Would micros be not allowed, or is it gonna be a multi-ammo kind of war?
I'm really looking forward to this war, so any and all info would be appreciated.
We're still not sure if we'll be able to make it, but we're sure as hell gonna try.

You are looking at park that contains woods. The woods aren't extremely dense, but a lot of times a well placed shot can be ruined by a stray branch or leaf. I'm not kidding either. If the LCM website still existed, we would have site pics available. I would check out OMC's photo galleries for site pics.

Bring long range weapons and pistols. We usually do rounds that are exclusivley pistols.

Micros are fine. Just bring a lot, because a lot of us will be shooting megas.

About guns and ammo. Bring whatever you want, we use mostly megas, but you can bring whatever you like as long as you're prepared to keep yourself stocked. If you want to use micros, use them. Just bring a day's worth. Bring autos. Bring pistols. Bring rifle-type guns. Bring everything or whatever you want. We're only aiming to have fun, not that competition is frowned on.
Bring what you need. Maybe more just to be safe.
Bring as many people as you can as long as they are mature enough and want to enjoy themselves.

And by a days worth of ammo, we've never played for more than like an hour and a half. Would a 'days' worth be more or less than, say, 1000 for ~8 people?
I'm hoping we can get at least Bravo (8 guys) together to get down there. At BEST we'll be bringing 16+ one or two muppets. At worst, it'll be just one or two muppets, if their parents let them. Most likely, it'll be 7 or 8 + Andrew if his parents let him go.
And would you say it'd be worth it to go buy some big-size brass and re-chamber some guns to Megas just so we're not the only guys shooting micros? I know we can cut up some new Sch.40 to use mega stefans in our coupler-modded guns.

I need directions, or just like the address so I can Mapquest it; if it has an address that is.
Pat, don't be too worried about what guns you bring. I used a Powerclip a while ago against some longer range guns and I was fine. But, like [I forget who it was] said, bring pistols for sure as there are almost always pistol wars.
I don't have any clue what to expect at Mill Creek, assuming I can make it out there. It's a good six or seven hours there, afterall.
Shindig, the Archive site still works for finding old sites like the LCM site. I haven't tried it so I can't tell you how much of its content was preserved but I'd assume at least a few pictures are still there. I'll check.
Cross your fingers that I can make it...or don't. This will be my only war for probably the rest of '06 assuming that we don't luck out and get 60 degree weather in the middle of winter for another DCNO.
EDIT: http://web.archive.o.../pictures1.html
There are some pictures that still work, I went and clicked a bunch of links and some worked.

It's a long drive for me, so I'll have to talk it over with my parents. I might just be able to get a ride with NerfMonkey. I'll let you know as soon as I find anything out.

30-50 seems like kind of a small supply to me, but I tend to go through ammo fairly quickly. I'm sure the pros don't need that many darts.
And I know I'm not the host of this war, but a little advice on Stefans: mark them with some symbol or your initials, anything unique. I put little black Sharpie dots on the backs of mine.
To Mantis: I'm not sure if I can come I was only saying that if I do it will mean a 6 or 7 hour drive, probably closer to 7.

My clan is 17-18, is that too young [I know most participants are in college]? We may be young by your standards, but take our wars very seriously. We're the type that will crawl through thornbushes to get in an ambush position or jump down a steep hill to avoid being hit.
The clan is technically 20+ strong, but I doubt I could get many to come, even myself might be a challenge. Depends on how long of a drive it is from Bergen County [have no idea where Mill Creek is]. I also have some homemades, which I assume would have to be cleared before use at the war. I don't have the right size foam for them, so I've only been able to test stock micros.
I'll try to get as many people as possible, if I myself am clear for the agreed date and time.

I don't think most of the people going are that serious about it, dude. We're all aiming to have fun. I'm only 14, there is no age requirement. It's Nerf. Try not to take it too seriously. I have no idea what kind of Nerfing you're used to but I assume almost all major Nerf wars will be a lot more laid-back than you're thinking.
As for me, I still don't have anything planned up to then, as far as I know; now it's just a matter of convincing my parents to let me go. I wish I could drive.

I suggest you plug in the following address into Google Maps:
Chelsea Ave
Bayville, NJ 08721
There is no exact address for the park, but Google Maps allow you to see it on screen. It is the Green blob that says "Mill Creek Park." If you want to run the directions it gives you by me, PM them to me.

Sorry to barge in on you guys on the east coast. But I've been keeping up. And I freaking really wanna come. Problem is, I can't. This year anyway. But, because of all this good hype goin on, and a chance to just go see the east coast for once in my life. I will try as hard as I can to make next year a bit more fun for all you by showing up from over here on the west.
Two questions: I'll have to get the ticket(s) early, so does it average around the 6th of August, or can you at least plan by the beginning of next summer (cheaper tickets always are better)? Groove, how much is it costing you to get out here?
Yeah, I'm excited just thinking that I MIGHT get to play with you guys. But I will plan it out and see if I can make it happen. The idea of playing with evil, (maybe) Mantis, shinny, and just alot of the older Nerf crowd sounds great to me.

APOC has always been the first weekend in August for one reason or another. I would say that makes APOC next year either on August 7 or August 8 (2007 of course).

I call bullshit on you, kind sir.
I'll be there. It's gotta be the 6th in order for me to attend because of a Mets game I'll be attending with Evil on the 5th.

I'll be in Normandy Beach for that weekend, which is perfect since Mill Creek Park is just across the bay. What times will APOC start and end at?

1) I don't own a single modified Nerf gun.
2) I am a 32-year old out-of-shape guy.
3) Ruptured tendons in my right knee.
I do want to meet all of you though, so let me know if it is cool or not. I'll even videotape parts of the event, if you all want. I figure I could do something if I go.
