I want to shoot for early August, as always. The first or second weekend. I am open to all suggestions for a New Jersey location, but I would prefer if we held the war at Deal or Mill Creek. Deal for the dynamics of the terrain, and Mill Creek for nostalgia.

I don't want to see people telling me they are coming until two days before and then complaining about how they just asked their parents for a ride and they refused. I don't want last minute no-shows. What I do want is people to be realistic about the possibility of coming, and then discussing this war maturely. Thank you.

I also know that this is new protocol for posting in a Nerf War topic, so I am asking that if your status of CERTAIN or UNCERTAIN changes during the course of this topic, please post that it has changed and do not edit earlier posts. While the topic may (possibly) balloon, I want everyone to be able to breeze through this topic and see who is and who isn't coming.

APOC is already on the calendar for the first weekend in August. Always has been and always will be. I would prefer the creek myself, but I'm open to anything.

Yeah, I looked for the other thread. Either it is at the bottom of the world or you're full of shit. Neither scenario particularly interests me so I'll just post here.

I'd like to host a war at deal this summer some time, but I'd probably wanna have it before august. That said, I really don;t know when the other horsemen or I would be available to organize (well that's always just a 2 man job really) and pull off this war. If and when I figure that out I'll let you know.

Wow, you're right Vacc. I could SWEAR Paul started a thread about Apoc this year a few months ago. Maybe not...

That aside, I want APOC to be the LARGEST event we have ever seen on this coast. It's the 5th one we are doing and we should blow this up to massive proportions. I would like to see anyone and everyone possibly attend. DC Guys, MA Guys, WHOEVER. This event is not one to miss this year.

So, Let's discuss.

August 5th (Saturday) or August 6th (Sunday)?

And... Mill Creek or Deal?

I am willing to host at Mill Creek OR Deal regardless of the Horsemen's attendance.

I think it should be at the creek just for tradition reasons. It's always been there, and I like the creek. It may be smaller than Deal but i think, for Apoc at least, that we should nerf at the creek. Although if we want to have another war this summer up at Deal, i fully support that

As far as I know there is nothing planned involving me the 5th or 6th. However, this is a long way away (distance-wise), and I'm not sure how it will go.

Saturdays are always better for me, marching band practice starts later than I thought but only the 7th or 8th, so two or three days would be better for me to un-sore my legs than one or two.

Don't be surprised if our Apoc headcount is not substantial or comparable to Armaggedon this year. I just thought I'd put that out there.

If we could, I would like to host on a Saturday but I think the advantage of hosting on a Sunday might be that the park is less crowded, especially earlier in the day. Whatever we choose, I think we should be fine though. And if the Horsemen are serious about a Deal war, I say Apoc should be at Mill Creek Park afterall.

Apoc would not be Apoc if it weren't at the Creek.

I'm not as opposed to a Saturday war as I am for a location change, but I do think that Sunday would be better. The park being emptier always works to our advantage. Less people means I will be less likely to freak out.

However, I am off both days, so it should be decided by which is easier for people to take off. If Saturday works for more people, by all means go for it.

COMMIT TO A DATE ASAP SO THAT WAY YOU CAN PLAN AHEAD FOR IT. We're planning ahead so we can get a respectable headcount. If you have work, choose a date and get off work. If you need a ride, put it on your calendar now. I can do either, but I suggest Sunday in hopes that the park will be less full. I know planning this far ahead is new for us but it can work if you make it work.

I'd love to actually get out and play with all these people I've read about the past 10 months. The {SF3G}'s got a scenario in Mass on the 3rd, which'll end at midnight on the 4th. We'd have a day to get our shit loaded, drive to NJ (ugh...), maybe catch some sleep, meet all you crazy people, and drive back.

Cool.



So, maybe if I can talk some of the guys into it, we'll get down there and get our asses handed to us by some pros. Some of the muppets might want to come (The kid's down the street who always want to 'play Nerf' with us.

So, Evil, directions would be appreciated, unless this is a NJ crew only war (I hope it's not). Also, what time is the war going to be taking place? Just so we know how early in the morning we've got to set out.

Maybe some pictures of the terrain would be nice, just so we know what's going on. Is this the same place as the wars in the photo gallery here on NH?


I hope to be able to make it out, but I'm not so sure about the guys. I really look forward to associating some faces to all those avatars.

So, Evil, directions would be appreciated, unless this is a NJ crew only war (I hope it's not). Also, what time is the war going to be taking place? Just so we know how early in the morning we've got to set out.

None of our wars have ever been limited as to who can attend, by all means, if you can swing the sleep deprivation, we'd love to have you guys down here. I'm not sure on what exact time Evil might be gunning for, but its usually around 11ish.
