What size of brass do I use to make a brass barrel for a Lock n' load? Cxwq's mod says 1/2 in. ID but what size is that?

ID stands for Inner Diameter, the distance between the two inside walls of the brass. Just look at your local hobby store or Hardware store (don't go to Home Depot, etc) and ask about K&S brass tubing. Look for the size the is labeled 1/2" ID, and there ya go. Happy Modding.

I'm not even sure if we have Lowe's here in Minnesota, but this is what cxwq has to say.
"Steelworks brass (twice as thick, not machined as cleanly in my opinion) is available at Lowes and OSH. At Lowes it's generally towards the middle of the store near the small hardware parts and the key cutting area. At OSH it's generally towards the back near the springs (they have an excellent selection of useful springs as well) and the sheet metal."

Steelworks is crap compared to K&S. Don't bother. Check out your hobby shops; they're usually in a display thing on the front counter.

They're near the balsa wood a good deal of the time. It is in racks full of it and other metals.

Isn't K&S brass measured by the OD not the ID? If so, then buy 9/16 brass.

I'de recomend taking your foam to the store to check the size. Not all 1/2" foam is the same, believe you me.
Happiness is a foam gun.
