My big bad bow had always served me well. It had fired 2000+ shots fine. One day I fired it, and low and behold, I heard a terrible cracking sound, followed by what sounded like plastic inside the gun. So I opened it up, and found the orange thing that goes behind the plunger head smashed to oblivion. I have tried washers, but on the count of the spring making direct contact, It just blows apart when I try to cock it.
Any cheap fixes for this? I don't wanna buy another crappy weak stock plunger head thing for it, so I'd prefer the hardware store alternate.

Thanks,
Sharp

Try something like lexan or plexiglass and cutting it into a shape similar to that of the disk you lost. I'd recommend some type of metal, but I'm going off of Boltsniper's comment that the lighter the plunger the better. Although I've had minimal experiance with plexiglass and lexan, I know plexiglass should be strong enough for an area that small, and Boltsniper has luck with Lexan building his projector.

Thanks, I have some plexiglass in the shop. I'll go get the dremel end start work. That was the only comment, but by far the most helpful I could have hoped to get, considering many told me to throw it away!

Yeah, don't listen to those guys. Almost any part of a nerf gun can be fixed/fabricated, one way or another. If you've got a dremel, time, and access to a hardware store, it can be done.
