I just bought one of these things today. When I looked down the barrel, it seems to have some sort of air restrictor inside of it. Is this true? Does anyone ever opened the plunger tube before? I'm sure I'll be able to do it, but some cutting may insue if now one knows how. Thanks

Cx's mod .

It seems in his mod he states that there is some one-way valve at the end of the plunger, and that may be what you see to be the air restrictor. As such, I wouldn't try removing it.

I recall reading somewhere that since it isn't literally spring powered, you can use bungees to power it... somehow. sorry that I can't help any more than that, but I have trouble understanding unfamilliar things unless they're in front of me, in person. (I didn't understand pump guns until I opened my first AT2K, same goes for springers with my NF [now I'm a pro])

Awsome.

Ok, thanks for the help. I've given up on trying to open the tube inside. It's now bungeed and makes stefans corkscrew in the air, something I've never seen before. This thing is great!

*Update*

Here is the crossbow with the bungee and cpvc barrel replacement:

Looking down the sight is very helpful with this gun:

And the vid of it firing:

Firing

Ok, this next part is theoretical. The rubber trim is removed and it exposes the cylinder: top of gun. I saw this action and immediately thought breech! A breech may be perfect for this gun or maybe even the BBB mod I did a while back. This gun has a lot of power! More than the BBB and if it had a clip, it would be deadly. I'll see what I can come up with. Any suggestions?

Also, I didn't care for the pistol look for this gun. It may be a bit smaller than with the arms on, but they make it look better. The arms are wood screwed on from the inside...

Wow that thing looks menacing! I really like the sight on it. The bungees you added look awesome too.
The darts spiraling could be due to the fact that the barrel is not long enough.
You said the arms are made of wood. How heavy is that gun?

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Thanks. You are right when you said that. I put a longer barrel on and pushed the darts down further and they shot with amazing power and accuracy.

I mis-wrote the sentence above. I meant to say the front arms were screwed together with wood screws, not that the actual arms were wood. Sorry for the confusion.

This crossbow weighs a little less than my BBB. Really not that bad for how big it is. Believe it or not, the rubber trimming I removed was about half of the wieght of the gun. The rubber is located on the front part of the arms and the top guide rail. When removed, it's much lighter and looks better. I kept the front rubber forks on, though, because I think they look better...
