All right. I don't know where the hell those pictures are right now. I left them in the hands of my friend who said he will get them up soon. The spot we found is nice though. Its got a small jungle gym to eat shit from, a huge open feild, a woodland forest type area that connects to a small stream which connects to another woodland type area. It also has a small, covered terrace, baseball feilds, and a dog path. The only downside is that if there is any rain whatsoever, the place is swamped and your feet will sink into the ground. I don't think this is a problem because we usually have kinda dry summers.

Like Movius said, we live around Lake Zurich, which is like 20 minutes away from Naperville (or so) and we have a couple of other friends that have modded up guns and ready for war so, we could plan something out; there are tons of woods and fields by my house that I'll post pictures of later when I get them up. But my damn brother took the camwera and I can't find it.

I agree with Movius. Late July is when summer school's over, and everyone comes back from vacation.

That's true. I'm happy just as long as we have the war :D . Before we agree, is there anyone who can't make it during July?

Well, half my summer just opened up... the second half as well... but my biggest problem is convincing my parents to actually drive me down there. Anyone know how far the location is from Milwaukee, WI?

I'm thinkin' road trip. And by that I mean I would be thinking it if I had a car. I can't find a road atlas right now. But I'll see how far away Milwalkee is. Probably not very. I drove up to the Dells one summer, I don't know how far Milwalkee is from there. Anyway, what about August? Is there a possibility of having more than just one war? I mean, we all live semi-near to eachother and we all found at least one spot. Just one war every summer is just too damn few.

Actually... Milwaukee is like an 1 hour drive south of the Dells, which means it is closer to you than the Dells. Well, I might try to see if I can make it, it sounds awesome!

Sweet. Now all we have to do is find a McDonalds close to all of us. I'm assuming you guys will carpool.

Should we think about forming a clan and stuff? (we might not want to call it a "clan" because of the similarity of the name to another ummm..... religiously based clan that congregates near our area. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against calling it a clan but the stuck up preppy soccer parents in our healthy slice of sububia will freak out for anything.)

Heh, yeah, maybe we should form some sort of "group". Anyway I think the idea of a couple of wars over the summer should be pretty cool. Once again just as long as there's a war I'm happy.

just signed up to nerf haven, but I live in hinsdale, maybe 30-40 minutes away from naperville, assuming it is the same naperville west of chicago. I have maybe 3 people that might be interested, and although we don't have a lot of guns yet they are all modded fairly well, and we shall be purchasing some more within a month. I personally like the h2h the best, I have a really nice short sword, about 21 inches long and really effective. Only prob is we are used to close quarters indoor wars and would probably be slaughtered outside with our weaker weapons.

Feel free to come, the more the better. I've never nerfed in doors, but it shouldn't be too different. If you guys can make it that'd be great! Oh, and by the way, welcome to nerfhaven.

Dude, gross. PVC weapons? Lame. Ditch them and join us 'cause there not gonna do much good out in the open. Besides they sprout too many conflicts and arguements (ex: "Nu uh, I got you" "No, I got you"). If you look in the off topic section you'll find an old ass post called "Trigger Happy Noobs: It can happen to you" that I made. Read it if you want. Theres a little section about PVC weapons that you might enjoy.
I've played indoors. Converting to outdoors is not too hard. The only things you have to worry about is wind acomidation and having no walls. I think you'll like it though. Especialy the woods. If your a history buff then you recall the Battle of the Buldge. I expect it to be something like that only with less artilery shells blowin' up all over the place.

Hey all. I was browsing the forums and came across this. I am in Warrensburg, MO, about an hour outside KC, but my hometown is St. Louis. I might be able to make it up there for the war, though I am not sure, because transportation is an issue. That, and what are the ages? I'm twenty years old, don't want to freak any parents. Later.

Yeah, I will probably be the oldest there, I think, but if there are 16 or 17 y/o running about, I don't [think] it should be a problem.

Movius, don't worry about driving me or anything, going south all the way to St. Louis and then north again is way too much. Don't even worry about it. If I can make it, I'll probably take a train and ask someone to pick me up there. Otherwise, I will try to get my hands on an extra car, we'll see. Later guys.

Allright cool. This thing's gonna be massive. Not to worry though, I was over at Little Buster's house today and found out that the original feild connects to a smaller valley with a play ground in it. Dispite its size, it has quite a few hiding spots and the only way to get to it is through the woods. So now we have more room.

-Movius

Yo Little Buster, we need to get those pictures up, its been a month man.

I haven't really had the time to read through all of the posts, but (if he hasn't already posted something) Ompa and I are from south-eastern Wisconsin, so perhaps if you had a giant nerf war around the Chicago area, it wouldn't be too far away. When you come up with the results of where, when, etc., make a new topic so that it won't be lost within the comments here.

Hell yeah. I've got on a good day 8 guys on my team, so if we all stacked together we could have a pretty impressive fight. Email me or aim me.
