Paintball Anyone?

I was just wondering how many people here play paintball as well as Nerf. I know I do, and I figured that they're sorta related as far as being gun games and all, so I assume that there must be some paintballers out there. I actually recently got back into it, as I sorta stopped playing after high-school (it is a somewhat expensive sport you know). Anyway, just let me know if you do and what you play (speedball or woodsball) and perhaps give me a rundown of your marker setup. I am a speedballer myself and I use a Kingman Spyder Imagine-Select, with a Warpigs QB barrel and a Halo TSA LED Frontman loader. I KNOW it's nothing special but it gets the job done(can compete with high-end markers) and it doesn't chop paint. Plus it only cost me like 80$ about 3 years ago which was a steal back then. Anyway, let's hear some responses paintballers...

Well on a side not, I play paintball. I paintball more then nerf, but I still haven’t forgotten my roots. I got a nice setup:
- 2005 Bob Long Naughty Dog Intimidator (Red – Black Fade)
- Virtue Board
- 68ci Empire Adjustable Fuel Tank With Black And Red Empire Cover
- Red Halo B With Cheetah Board And Rip Drive
- Stiffi Switch Kit
- Empire Action Pack (3+4)
- Dye LockLids
- Dye C6 Jersey
- Dye C6 Pants
- Empire E-vents
A5 with a custom q-loader mount. It's got a TON of ups.
Zeus G2+ with every up out there.
I play both woods and speedball, but mostly speedball.

Please do not compare NERF to paintball.
In his defense, he wasn't comparing the two beyond the fact that they are both games involving guns.
As for me, I don't care a whole lot what I shoot, as long as I'm something. Nerf is the main thing I play, just because it's easiest and cheapest to do on a saturday afternoon when me and some friends have nothing to do.

I wasn't saying that paintball and Nerf are alike, I merely meant that they are both types of activities for people who have a love for guns (non-lethal guns). There's no need to get all pissy about it, I know Nerf is different from paintball I'm not a moron
Nobody was being pissy but you. NinjZ asked to PLEASE not compare them.
I used to play but only like three times because the people I played against were cheap, stupid and we had nowhere to play. Then I got into Nerf and it replaced it.

We've got a fair amount of guns (~28), but here's my favorite.
She's a fucking beast on the field. I can even sometimes keep up with speedballers with her.

1) I'm getting pretty old and creaky for real hardcore p'ballin.
2) There's not many places to play paintball where I now live. Only one, actually, if you don't include outlaw fields.
But if someone were to ask me into a rec-ball game, I'd probably bite and jump in.
And...it's pretty much Stock Class for me. Make mine 10 shot tubes and 12 gram CO2.
Phantom VSC. As Talio said awhile back, it's basically an arsenal in a box. 10 shots, pretty deadly accurate, and runnin' off of 12 gram's, it's the ultimate in feeling outgunned (when playing against a bunch of trigger-happy semi players). Even more satisfying is bunkering said players after they've emptied a hopper while trying to pound you.
TASO Tunnel Rat. Stock Class with classic style. Heavy, thick barreled, virtually unbreakable. Also packs a wallop that needs good adjusting to stay under 300 fps.
Also a Brass Eagle Stingray II and Blade that friends left with me. Good for shooting big ornery stray dogs.
I've had a Tippmann Pro-Carbine and a Piranha (spyder clone) in the past. I'm still partial to pumps, though.

Exactly how old are you pineapple? Not to pry into your life or anything, but I'm curious at what you think is "too old" for paintball. My philosophy is that you're only as old as you feel At any rate, it sure sounds like you've got quite a lot of paintball experience under your belt, and I respect that. Hey pat 2nd Lt., is that a Longbow? It looks somewhat familiar, and if it is then I believe you. I've heard those things are quite nasty. Too expensive for me though as I am really only in it for fun and not any REAL competition. Besides, I am a speedballer as I've mentioned before and I really like fast-firing guns over guns that have extreme distance or accuracy.
Nobody was being pissy but you. NinjZ asked to PLEASE not compare them.
And I'm sorry if my comment earlier offended anyone, I just don't appreciate it when people assume things. I do realize he said please and I apologize, NinjZ, for sounding offensive. At any rate Nerfmonkey, it sounds to me like you were somewhat turned away from paintnball because of bad experience. That's too bad if this was the case because paintball is a very fun sport and can be a thrill under the correct conditions. It may be a little too late to suggest that you give the sport a chance, but I wouldn't put it entirely out of your mind. It's a lot of fun, and I love playing paintball right alongside Nerf and Airsoft. Paintball is, unfortunately, the most expensive of those three...but well worth it

I use a Spyder Victor. Not a great marker by any stretch of the imagination, but compact, solid, and in four years it's never chopped a paintball. I usually don't have the money or the time to get out and PB, but I try to when I can. My friends who are most interested in it also are of the opinion that one-hit-out is lame, and instead you should just be shot until you can't take the pain anymore. Plus their father always plays with them, and he has roughly the build of a grizzly bear. You can imagine how much I play with those guys. >_>
You'll take my life but I'll take yours too
You'll fire your musket but I'll run you through
So when you're waiting for the next attack
You'd better stand there's no turning back. The Trooper
