Ebay is your only hope, and most Crossbows go for 50+ on Ebay. Forget the Crossbows and BBB's, they're outdated and overrated. Get a Lanard Max Shot or AT3K or something.

The crossbow is still one of the best guns out there for reliability, minimal parts and ease of modding. IMHO.
BBBs are the overrated guns, there is so much stuff that can go wrong with that gun...just ask Steve.

In your opinion, what is the best loser gun? I'm usually the loser in our wars and my Supermaxx 1500 was stolen by some little kid in our neighborhood and his grandmother (who he lives with) won't give it back.

A modded Lanard Max Shot (you can find it at Toys R Us for $15) will shoot farther than a 1500. Just follow the mod instructions on this site for it. Alternatively, you can find a Supermax 5000 which is also a great losing gun, but harder to find.

Yes, get an max shot, when my first bought mine i thought it would suck, not being nerf, but it is now one of my best guns. It's what i eat shit with all the time. After you mod it, it gets great distane and acuracy.
When you die, if you get a choice between going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it's not, mmmmmmm, boy

This is the problem I have with the Max Shot. I know gun choice is a personal thing and that what feels right for one person won't necessarily work for another but I just don't see how people aim with this gun. Maybe I'll work on fixed sights for mine before the next war and see how that goes.
Any insights from the Max Shot fan crowd? SniperWolf used his pretty effectively at Armageddon if I recall correctly. Is it just a matter of using it long enough to intuitively 'feel' where the shot is going?
My AT3k likes me... I usually fire from the hip and still tend to be reasonably accurate with it.

You just have to get a feel for the max shot. I hold the handle with my right hand and my left hand over that an d extend both arms strait out. Once you get used to it it's easy. I can nail pop cans from 50 feet.
