I was browsing on nerf.com when I noticed a little button that said "replacement parts". I clicked on it and after searching through the products for about 5 minutes I found replacement rockets for the titan. here is the link for them, you just fill it out, print it, and mail it to hasbro.

That's pretty cool, but $3.00 for a freakin' foam rocket!? I'd rather stick to darts or better yet, make my own large ammo (so I could war with the Titan without necessitating an ambulance ride for anyone).

Old news, but still, I used it a few times to buy some darts, the darts they ship are the classic red nerf ammo. Its not a bad deal, really. Still, search before you post.

While we are on the Titan Rocket subject, it is possible to make some titan rockets. I was at Ace recently and I saw these giant foam insulation tubes. It basically looked like a bigger PCV pipe, but it was made out of foam instead. You could easily tailor the size you need for your rocket barrel, and construct a homemade rocket. Hmm, I might try doing that too.

Fob, pipe insulation is indeed quite nice for over-barrel ammo. For that top barrel on the Yellow Jacket, I use 1/2" copper/cpvc insulation with one end plugged by an overweighted jumbo stefan. I'm not exactly sure what size the Titan barrel is, but it might be a bit too big. Pipe insulation rarely gets bigger than 1". At least, Home Depot doesn't usually stock anything bigger than that.

I've also heard of people using pool noodles for titan rockets.

Davidbowie is right.

Pool noodles either cut out by hand or by a drill-press work very well for stock Titan ammo. They're a lot cheaper than the replacements Nerf is selling in the link.

I'm not sure, but I think it was baghead who made some home-made Titan rockets. The plus on those is that the stupid air-release holes don't exist, and you don't even need to make fins: the performance barely suffers at all.

If you want the Titan rockets, go for it, but they're too expensive for my taste, considering how much real use they'll get.

Well, for kids they'll get use. Not many 6 year-olds know how to mod a Titan to shoot micros or make homemade ammo. Nerf's primary audience is still kids.

This was brought up a while ago, although more on the subject of the five dollar hornet. A hornet for five dollars seems a lot better than a foam rocket for three (assuming the hornet you get isn't defective).

The air release holes on a Titan rocket don't affect performance, for the record. They're there so the front can deflate on impact, lessening the blow. If they weren't there, it'd be like getting hit by solid plastic.

Edit: Didn't see the date. Just assumed it was another person claiming they found something "new". Oh well - my apologies.

Please excuse my slang, but lol, it's so funny when a person necros, nobody notices it, and then BOOM! You have a revived thread. Anyways, $5 for a hornet? Is that for them repairing a broken hornet, or for buying a new one? If that is indeed for a new one, then I think I might just have to make a gun-blade.
