I was at my local CVS (picking up on sale easter candy ) and I saw one of those 'Stomp Rockets'. Basically, there is a big air bladder that is connected through some tubing to a plastic pipe. Someone jumps on the bladder and the rocket (which goes on the plastic pipe) flies off. I got thinking, 'Could that be any good?' I am sadly broke so I couldn't get it, but It seems simple enough to replace the plastic pipe with some PVC. I was wondering if anyone has tryed this, and if so, how's it work?

I have played around with them occasionally, and they can certainly get some distance depending on the weight of the person stomping. Although I haven't officially tested ranges, they get to approximately 100' vertical. As for replacing the pipe, I don't understand fully what you are suggesting. Are you suggesting simply replacing the stock post with PVC? And if so, why?

He probably wants to shoot micros. I would suggest building your own... which is what I always say.

I came up with something similar only based on ramrockets, which are more conventional for battlefield use.
But still, itd be a unique and powerful weapon, requiring 2 to launch and aim.

Wait, but didnt you sayy vertical, what would be the purpose of micros going up....on someone stomping on a tube...? Any way you think you can fix it up?

I was actually going to use one of these in a war. I had one that had a barrel perfect for stefans. I'd shove a bunch down and position it toward a corner where peole always came around. The stomp launcher was positioned next to a wall where I'd stand. Then if you heard them coming you could launch a wave of stefans at them without getting into their line of fire. Forgot about it and have never used it since. These would be very good for base defence, and is the only practicle use I could see for them.
