When most people mod an At 2k they just rip of all the barrels and make it a single shot gun. I think that looks really stupid, so i came up with a way to make a single barrel but not have a big gaping hole in the middle. I decided to keep the quad barrel but have a brass rod go down to the air release point. In order to do this you must drill out a good portion of the barrel. Then I put some tubing over the air release point. then I slid the brass down and it fit perfect over the tubing. This allowed a tighter fit so air could not escape. Then i glued the brass on so it would not slide off. By doing this the barrel is automatically straight and you have three barrels to keep ammo in. Check out the pictures below

I like the idea but I don't really like the other barrels although they are good ammo holders. Nice work.

I just completed my single barrel at2k but I now wish I had done your mod. I think I will buy another at2k.

I really recommend this mod. Its pretty easy, you get great ranges, and the barrel is staight and sturdy.

What type of dart are you using? In the picure, there are stock darts in the "ammo holders"...

If your using stefans, than you would have to ramrod them, since the barrel is glued on. Regular single-ing utilizes a coupler, so you can load them quicker.

Just a thought...

I use stefans, I just grabbed a dart out of a bin to show how it makes a great ammo holster. Ya, i have to use a ramrod.

Just to point out, this gun will probably be ineffective in a war. When you single a gun, you want to optimize RoF, since it will be minimized as it is, with only one barrel. In this mod, you sacrifice any extra RoF you would get from a coupler, or a breech, in gains of slight accuracy.

I commend you for keeping the original quad-part on. Very creative. However, to give you a tip, if you were to glue the turret onto the gun, and instead of glueing the barrel directly onto the airtank, glue a coupler instead, it would increase RoF while keeping your accuracy.

just some more thoughts...
