I've decided to come to the ones who really know nerf to ask for help. I'm having a nerf war 4-15-06 and I need to know if there is any one who's actually gotten good results from streching the spring in a Mav and the little black rubber ring inside the plunger has messed up not brocken but has stretched out a little more than is agreeable. Also no more f***ing coments about this and that is already posted just point me in the right direction, no disrespect to you all for you have helped me alot lately.

That's not really how it works. You don't post a thread that's already been brought up fifteen or twenty times, then realizing it's been brought up and could be found through searching, say "don't yell at me, just do the searching for me" and get help.

*grumble*

Streching the spring will decrease the life of the spring, generally speaking. You'll get a slightly increased range, but only for a certain amount of time until the spring stretches back to normal.

If the o-ring is broken, go to ACE hardware or Home Depot or something and pick up a replacement.

Don't take up that attitude again man. Next time search, or you'll end up suspended.

...

Don't get all pissed off about it man, its just a rule, and now you know it. And that's where it ends.

Maybe PM someone next time, and show that you only want people to respond if they know.... Even then, only do it if the search button & at least half an hour of research fails you.

Although, like I'm one to comment... lol.

Edit: Oops, read your post wrong... "preciate it... been a crappy day" was misread as "preciate it... have a crappy day" lol.

Stretching the spring has a very short effect, it goes back to normal quickly. I'd suggest buying a new spring.

The color function is for emphasis, NOT for your own self expression. If you want to express yourself. Get a blog. Otherwise, use the same god damn color as the rest of us.

Thought I might post another issue in this topic rather than make another one. I'm modding my friend's Mav and there's an issue I get when I close up the gun after modding it. Before closing it up, I pull the trigger a couple times to ensure that the turret and everything is rotating fine and stuff. With the gun opened, it rotated fine. However, when I close up the gun, I pull the trigger, but then the trigger doesn't go all the way back. Thus, when I pull it again, the turret will not rotate or rotate properly.

Make sure that the little hook under the trigger is hooked to the spring under it, secondly make sure that the whole turret assembly is put together properly, and lastly the trigger itself is laying in the frame right otherwise it slips "on and off track if you will".

Basically what I'm trying to say is that the gun wont fire. I hear the spring and everything go, but the dart doesn't come out or it comes, but only flies a few feet. I think the turret just isn't rotating properly.
