Not sure if this has ever been tried before, I searched and came up with nothing. Basically, I replaced the stock NF spring with the one from my BBB. I've still got a few adjustments to make, and may end up buying a new NF to do this on, as my old one has been through many many mods already. It's a real pain to get the spring in and still be able to put it together, but I was plenty pleased with the results. I don't have any concrete ranges yet, but I can tell that this mod produces a LOT more power than using the weak stock spring.

Not really much of a mod, I guess, but I thought someone might get a kick out of it.

You might want to add some reinforcements to where the plunger hits. Like some foam.

It's neat, but the plunger head is going to come apart under that much stress. If not the plunger head, than the rails that hold the catch and spring in will. I'd reinforce those two parts (with a large screw and a combination of sheet metal and/or screws respectively) if you insist on continuing.

I didnt think the BBB spring would even fit in the NF. If you have to compress it in that much, you might not even get more range from it.

Well, I did glue a bit of foam to the plunger head beforehand, and the chamber is reinforced by tons of hot glue. I basically had to put it together, then clamp the chamber and frame together, and hot glue all around it. I don't think it's physically possible to put it back together otherwise.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't count on just hot glue. Even if the entire case IS now hot glue.

With compression the BBB spring would probably fit, but ompa is right about both things, but I just think that it is possible, actually more easily then you think, with some back up I think it would maybe take some out of the gun and also with that compresssion even though its a better spring, with the force wouldnt it maybe lag a bit?

You may want to take a look at a thread called "BBB in an NF". This thread will be hard to find because none of the title words are searchable. I'm sure if you put in enough effort you can find it but I am going to bed right now so good luck.

Here you go. My friend did this mod, it's pretty sweet, but you have to hack up a lot of stuff. If you need more info let me know.
