Is hand to hand stuff allowed?

Feel free to bring it, I'll have a couple swords in my car or something. It's not allowed in wars, but that doesn't mean you can't bring it. I'm always up for a duel inbetween wars. What kinda stuff do you have?

I've only got a half made sword that hasn't got enough foam on it so it still hurts if you swing at all hard. I was just curious about it though about whether or not we could use it in wars. Yeah. I really should make a nice quarter staff. but I haven't really got anyone to fight with regulalry so I just go with swing a pvc pipe around.

I have some extra swords, and my crew has some. We're pretty good with swords. Mark's just crazy fast, and good at anything involving movement, and Toj is actually trained in sword fighting.

20 hours and counting. Here's the final headcount:

Me
Mark
Toj
Jon
Drew
Jeff
Evan
Evan's dad(??)
Kevin

Maybes:

Waylo
Waylo's friend
Danny
Sam

That's a minimum of 9 people, and a max of 13. I'm pretty sure Danny is going. Can't get ahold of Sam, and Waylo is still a maybe.

Tag one onto the count, but I won't be there till the war is already well underway.

Oh yeah, Sandy pants! Okay, waylo and friend can make it. Danny can't, still haven't heard from Sam, so I guess he's out of town. That makes 12. Lookin to be pretty good. Also, I put a small laser sight on the top of my crossbow, it works really well. It has a pressure switch near the trigger, so I right before I shoot, I press the laser on, shoot, then let go. It's much safer than one that's always one, because the only time it will be on is when I have it aimed at someone's chest. Anyways, I won't use it on every shot, just ones where I need to make sure it's lined up. Do you guys have any problems with it? If anyone expresses a signifigant concern, or majority of people don't want it used, I'll take it off.

I don't have a problem with you using that.

But I am painting small pictures of you on my darts tonight...

Okay dandy. I just finished my LNL, it's glossy black with 2 inches of orange at the tip. It took forever to paint, it has at least 4 coats of black, then 3 coats of clear, then 2 coats for the orange tip, and finished with 2 coats of clear. Doing all this to each side, that's 22 coats total! It was worth it, I think it looks great. Worked on my holster a little, fits my LNL perfectly. The sight on crossbow is great, I got the brass/sch 80 system working nice. I have roughly 70' flat with out bands. Testing showed great accuracy, all shots falling within 6" of the red dot. I couldn't find sling shot ammo, so I bought 3/0 sinkers and the size larger too. I think the 3/0 will work great. I found a ton of FBR at home depot, including 3/8". I put together a quick barrel of this brass that I found, which fits it just ideally. I have 4" of a tight section, and 4" of looser after that. It shot very well out of my LNL, with a BB in the 3/8" dart. Decent accuracy, much better than my last shorter barrel with micro stefans. The range was pretty impressive, I'd say upwards of 60'. I think I'm on to something with this. I'll test more tommorow, don't have enough for my crossbow barrel though. I'll make a 1/2" brass barrel for my LNL, and see which one is better. I don't mind using 2 kinds of darts.

I'm thinking about the following:

Mostly 5 hit team battles.
A few rounds of CTF --we'll see how it goes, play as much as we like.
I'd like at least one 1 hit war, those are always quick and very exciting.
We could try an every man for himself war, or a buddy war, if we feel like something other than CTF or team deathmatch.
Oh, and we could encorperate pistol only rules into any of these wars.

I think I may make flags w/ pvc bases for CTF. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to make a tripod type dealy or a quadrapod(wtf?), out of PVC, then attach a flag to the top of it. I'm thinking long peice of PVC- T at the end- 2 T's coming off the sides of the T- shorter peices of PVC coming out of these T's. This would give it a good base, and it would be lightweight and easily transportable. It would also prevent people from putting it in a tree, or hidden somewhere. I'll make the flags brightly colored, probably one orange, and the other green.

Anyways, I'll shut up now, back to stefan making. I'm really excited and look foward to the fun we're gonna have tommorow, see everyone there!

Woohoo! i fixed my gun up (going to break again first war for sure so my expand a blast is comming along) and modded a max shot for my dad. I'm going on an all night stefan making spree! I'm probalby going to leave kinda late and get stuck in a ton of traffic, but hopefully I'll make more than two (though incredibley awesome) battles. I don't think i've been this prepared for a war though. But hey, thats what I thought about last armeggedon. Wait, it is tomorow right?

Urghle.

It's something around 4:30 a.m. right now, I just sneezed half-chewed Honeycomb all over myself, and I'm prepared to have Stefans and other foamy objects shoved down my throat in an undesirable manner. Let's see how I fare on three hours of sleep. :D

Yes, the war is today. My darts aren't fitting as well as they did before I straightened them out in the sun. They get a perfect, slightly loose seal with the 9/16's brass instead of a tight seal. Anyone have 2-4 inches of 17/32'nds?
