OK I am in a "dilema" I guess you can say. I have a very tough desicion to make. Here it is - Ok so I have a few guns I want to mod and I want you guys to help me decide which material should go on which gun.
OK GUNS NEEDED TO BE MODDED
-LNL
-EAB
-soon a BBB
-maverick(I have a mod which uses a lot of material)
-at3k( 6 barrels)

OK here are my materials
-baically unlimited brass!
- about a foot of PETG
-unlimited cpvc
- over a foot of this really nice material that is like PETG

I hate cpvc because my stefans really barely fit in after severe ramroding. I think Forsaken angel would agree with me. I wantt to make good use of my PETG and my other good material

SO WHICH GUNS SHOULD BE MODDED WITH WHAT MATERIAL?

I am no modding expert, but I think that the LNL should be modded with the brass. Also I'm pretty sure that brass is one of the best materials for modding nerf guns. By the way where did you get the PETG and the brass.

My question is, why don't you search to see which materials people have modded a particular gun with and then compare ranges between the materials? Get as much range data as you can for each material on a particular gun, average the ranges for each material, and go with the material with the best results. Or, look at the mod instructions and go by which mod is easier to complete if that is what you are going for. There are tons of mods out there, you just need to find them.

None of those guns are rare, so you can't really hide behind the excuse of no available mods at your disposal.

Um I bought the pETG from some on nerfhaven and buying brass with someone on nerfhaven.

If you can help(which would be great) please list the guns and thewn the barrel material next to it- IE
LNL- brass

EDIT- Shindig- I have used search but there aren't many PETG mods out there so before I cut my rare PETG up I'd like to know if PETG goes better with a certain gun. The gun I am mainly concerned about is the LNL because it is pretty expensive. I've seen CX mod it with brass but he said he didn't get too good ranges so I am wondering if something will work better.

I am of the opinion that, in general, Brass is always the right material. You can buy it to fit your foam exactly. I bought some PETG not to long ago and discovered it is actually too loose on the 1/2'' foam I buy from Home depo. Besides brass lets you nest your barrels.

Well with most PETG you can nest 17/32 brass inside it. Well any way, barrel material should be based on what type of gun you are using and how it fits your stefans/darts. On springers for the most part you want a tight fit and on air powered guns you can have it a little looser. That is how I understand it, I maybe wrong but that is what I understand from reading. For instance normal 9/16 brass fits my Stefans terrible and cpvc fits all my guns perfectly. If cpvc doesn’t fit your guns well you would probably do well with 9/16 brass. Well here is what I think:
Brass on everything except:
EaB- PETG, because it would be about the right amount for an EaB barrel.
I would use the PETG on the AT3K, but you don’t have enough to do a good mod.

I definetly agree with The infinite shindig. But in my opinion its all your preference and what material fits your darts best and material you get the best ranges with. For example, some people may like brass to mod their AT2K But in my eyes i would use CPVC. Its all up to you.
