I vote Super Glue, because it is fast and it adhears very well to plastic and PVC. If you use superglue, you need to also use hot glue to make sure that there is a good seal.

And Epoxy works great, it glues anything permanently and is the strongest glue I know of, but it takes forever.

Overall: Use Expoxy for the bigger stuff that you don't want to come off, but Superglue (with some hot glue for the seal) is definitely strong enough for an NF

Really, there is no best overall glue, they all serve their own purposes. For example:

-Superglue is good for DIRECT contacts and part that are under SOME stress, but it akso eats away at FBR

-Hot glue is good for NON moving parts and stefans and is easily removed incase you make a mistake, but it cannot take ANY stress at all

-Plumber's goop is good for fixing seals and is strong enough to be a substitude in SOME places, bug it is flexible and not rigid enough for most purposes that involve a SH@TLOAD of stress

-Epoxy is best for fixing and reinforcing parts that take a SH@TLOAD of stress and for indirect contacts, but it could take up to 24 hours to fully cur and if you make a mistake, you will have to start over from scratch, depending on the severity of your mistake, also it's more expensive most of the time

My life is complete now that I feel I've made a contribution to the NH community...

For bonding similar plastics nothing beats IPS Weld-On or similar plastic solvents.

Obviously you have pick the one that matches the material you're working with but when applied correctly and after letting it cure the bond will be as strong as the plastic itself.

For everything that I need to make a solid bond I prefer liquid nails. If I just want to fill something in to make it rigid I'll use hot glue.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Would elmers ultimate glue work on plugging a pump on a at2k? Or would I have to stick with hot glue for plugging the pump.

Elmers wouldn't be a good choice as it runs something awful. I would stick with hot glue.
