JUst a quick list for now:
Bebop- Duh.
Neon Genesis Evangelion- Brain-meltingly confusing. Lots of symbolism.
Serial Expiriments Lain- Scary.
Mononoke Hime- (Princess Mononoke, or Princess of The Monsters) Neato.
Akira- Weird, yet, symbolic... I think...
Ghost in the Shell- I want that tank.
Armitage III- Ummm...
Love Hina- FUNNIEST. ANIME. EVAR.
Gundam Wing- I thought it would be a DBZ wing mechs. Surprisingly, it had a plot.
Utena- I haven't gotten far into this one.
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind- Old one. I don't know what to say.

My favorites. Comments? Additional lists?

After Reconing on Sunday famine and I sat down and watched the entire EscaFlowne series. I think it was really good, but I was just so delerious by the end that I can't tell anymore. I mean, I actually thought it had something to do with Isaac Newton, hehehe, can you believe that!?!? HeheheHAHAHAHAHAHA...HAHA..ha.......oh fuck

Yeah, Escaflowne is an incredible anime.

Also, as to how you can even entertain the thought of making a list without including Vampire Hunter D (preferebly Bloodlust) and Ninja Scroll is far beyond me. I really enjoyed Trigun and bought most of the series but I don't know if I'd put it up there, I really liked it but it didn't flow as well as better anime series. Evangelion and G:Wing are two favs of mine (those who say Wing was for teenie boppers are allowed their opinions and I'm allowed to tell them to fuck off).

I really wasn't that impressed with Armitage 3..... I mean I think the only reason any of us have seen it is because Sci-Fi used to show it at 3am when it knows our judgement is impaired. Akira and Ghost/Shell are obviously staples of any anime collection. Also if anyone liked Ninja Scroll I suggest you check out the 2-disc Samurai X OVA's entitled "Trust" and "Betrayal", they're fuckin brutal shit.

My opinions

oh yeah....... Mononoke was just a bit too weak for my opinion..... a nice effort and beautiful but I like my anime to be fuckin violent...... really violent.

I just got the Berserk anime, and it's good so far, but I've only seen 5 episodes. . Squirting and gushing . The main character has a huge sword that's impossible to weild(sp). Yep, it's pretty good. I haven't figured out the plot yet...

Edit: Okay, is B L O O D a word that's filtered? I thought that there wasn't a filter at this site. Let's check:

Edit2: Yep. Hmmh.

The only animes for me are Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop. I've watched the entire series of both and I'm getting The End Of Evangelion the next time I see my cousin. Can't wait. The story in that DVD is supposed to be extremely bloody and violent, a catastropic ending to a legendary anime. You just have to love it. I haven't finished Trigun because I owe 42 dollars to the library and I can't take out DVDs anymore.

Probably because I'm working on acquiring them. I've D right now, but need to finish homework before I can watch it.

Metropolis was just.. too weird for me.. not very violent, and too quiet. That was the problem I had with it.
