After Purchasing an RFR, I wanted to see if i could make something decent out of it, I have bigger plans than this but because I could:





Ta-da! a Homemade buzz bee shell! and also a mod for the stock shells!


The Homemade shells are made from Riser Flex Tubing aka/Pex Tubeing. and then are hand wraped with duct tape to fit. They fit inside the RFR Magazine, and Chamber just fine, I'm still having a little trouble with ejection, but I hope to fix that tomorrow.


The Stock Shells I took a dremmel to and cleaned out all the air restrictors, then I sanded down the inside a little and nested a peice of 17/32 brass inside them.

both barrel types improve range by about 20 feet, I need to go measure conclusive ranges tomorrow morning.

Those homemade shells are so simple, it's sad.

You do most of your simpler mods at your computer, don't you? There's always a keyboard in at least one of your pics.

Yes, I do most of my simpler mods on my desk in my bedroom, where my computer is. My more complex mods are either done in my garage on the ping-pong table or in my grandpa's workshop.

who's going to use it? right now... I guess I am, for fun/Indoor stuff, untill i can figure out a way to eliminate the shells all together. It's fun and all but it would be waaaay cumbersome at a war.

I saw a buzz bee double shot and i thought couldnt you just glue the shells in smoothly and not have to put the shells back in each time?

if you were to use the homemade shells I made, yes, because you can rear=load them.

I don't think you could just glue the shells in (the blaster probably won't close properly) but there are a few mods around that do something similar to avoid the use of shells:
