KHAN!!!!! I recently got an Airtech 2000(brand new from Ebay I might add) and modded it to be a single-barreled long-distance rifle. I was very happy with it as it achieved ranges surpassing 100 ft and would even burst normal micros. But, to my great dismay, after about the 20th or so usage, the trigger went suddenly soft and it would no longer release pressure. When I took it apart I found out that the release valve had become separated from the rubber-stopper that sealed the tank. It tried to epoxy it back on but with no avail and now the tank is ruined rendering the gun useless. I was just wondering whether anyone else had encountered this phenomena. I am pissed but not because of the waste of money, mostly that I really liked that gun and probably won't easily be able to find it again, at least not new anyway. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

I've had this happen more than once, you most likely were over pumping your gun. that's what happened to me.

Yeah about seven pumps is full capacity. You're probably right though, that I am over-pumping it. I just can't help it, I like to push my guns to thier maximum capacity and inflict pain and suffering on unsuspecting Nerf criticising friends. Oh well, I guess I'll know what not to do next time. Where can A2k's be purchased for $8?

Ok cool, thanks guys. Reaper especially. I'll try that mod you suggested and hope that I haven't already ruined the tank from trying to epoxy the piece back on through that little hole in the front. I don't think I'll be getting another A2k too soon, but If I'm interested, I'll be sure and let you know Carrtoon. Thanks again ;)

Oh Reaper, do you think a dremel would work instead of PVC cutters?

I think 7 pumps is a bit too much. My at2k has the Liquitron mod and I only pump it 4 times, sometimes 5. 7 pumps might be ok once in awhile, but if you want your gun to last you probably shouldn’t pump it more than 4 times per shot.

I used the PVC cutters becuse it has a blade and cuts it and doesn't remove any materials as a dremal cut off wheel would ar a hacksaw. I gues you could but it might not work due to it missing part of the tank. Plus you cant garetee a straight cut unless you are really good with a dremel but I guess you could go for it if there isn't any other options open to you.
