I went do some spring cleaning today with my family and while in the basement I cam upon this gun that shoots nerf darts and sprays water. This gun got about 30 feet. BUT WAIT after a ton of hacking I opened it up and found a TINY spring. I will get some pictures up in like a few minutes!

THIS GUN HAS POTENTIAL! How do you think I sould mod it? I will definilty replace the spring but should I replace thee plunger too?

That's not a bad plunger there.. It really isn't that small compared to other plunger weapons. Put a larger spring in there and slap a tight fitting barrel like some CPVC or 17/32 brass and I think it's got some potential.

Ya, I don't really know which kind of spring to slap on there. The air output is great already so I have high hopes.
Should I put on 2 springs?

I at one point had one of those too, but threw it out before I got into modding. The thing I'd be scared of is the plastic cracking under the pressure of a new spring. It isn't exactly made of high-quality plastic, from what I remember.

Ya the plastic quality isn't the greatest but I think it is durable enough to hold a slightly stronger spring.

Sorry about the double post but does anyone have any sugestions on what spring I should use? Thanks

1) Go to your local ACE hardware

2) Find someone who works there, and say: "Do you have springs?"

3) Find springs using reference

4) Choose wisely.

When I went, they had an entire wall devoted to springs and I actually had trouble choosing which one because there were so many.

Otherwise, if you don't have an ACE, then... go... to... another hardware store (and mucho good luck in that case).
