The Fallen new here at NH and just wanted to let you guys know K-Mart has Krylon fusion paint for $3.99 a can. For those of you who live on the eastside.

We have Krylon Fusion over here in Illinois at Wal-mart for $3.46

while you guys are still solely speaking of Krylon Fusion... ACE hardware also carries it, it's more expensive, that's the nature of ACE hardware, but they have a wider array of colors than Wall Mart and K-mart.

It is also the only place that I have seen the X-metals paint that I've been using lately.

I use the metalcast paint sometimes, makes a nice glossy look and only requires a few coats to cover. The fusion is good but It takes more coats. The krylon fusion is about $3.50 at my walmart.

I've had a bad experience with Krylon paint, so I shy away from using it. I prefer Rustoleum paints atop a gray primer, for any parts I can't just vinyl dye.

Vinyl dye can be found at Autozone and other auto part stores. Rustoluem paints are practically all Lowe's carries.

Well my local Meijer puts Krylon Fusion on sale for $2 a can almost once a month. I also get 10% off that and sometimes 10% + 15% on certain Mondays...

I prefer white or gray primer then paint it or just using rubberized undersealer without primer since it can be textured or smooth yet give really good grip without being sweat-stained or melting. That suff is like $5 a can but I get it for free. Anyone who is coming to the KAF outing can have their grips done for a buck or two if they want. If a grippy surface is wanted, 30 seconds between varyingly rougher coats is required. Then the gun can be handled after 30 minutes to and hour, depending on the finish. Black only. By the way, it is aerosal rubber with an adhesive. That is really all it is...

I've been away for a while, so excuse me if this has come up.

is Fusion really that good? I have had Horrible luck with it. If there is any grease or oil on the surface you wanna paint, it dosent adhere for crap.
I much rather prefer the regular krylon or even better the rust-o-leum thats for engine blocks

Well its worked for me. I've painted to mavs with it so far I would show you a picture but I don't know how sorry. Note the can says dries in 15 minutes but I think it's best to let it sit for about 30min. And its pretty cheap at $3.99 a can but yeah it is good.
