OK , I am probably getting a LNL from someone and I wanted to know YOUR OWN opinion on which gun you prefer. I don't want the lNL for a collectable, I want it for performance. I already have 2 NFs and I don't really want a LNL if it is worse than a NF. Please assume that the LNL and NF are fullt modded. Thank you.

I had about the same performance from my NF as I did my LNL. I had better performance from my Tech Target though, but I preferred my NF because it was smaller and I liked the grip better.

--FoamSniper

*edit* I mean the old school tech target that shoots megas stock, modded down to shoot micros. I haven't tried one of the new tech targets.

I have 8 NFs, and 9 LnLs. 2 of my NFs are modded, one with a pvc barrel with crayola, the other with a PVC barrel with brass.

As for the LnLs, I have on that has a brass barrel, and another one with a pvc barrel. The one with the brass is better.

So to compare them, my NF with the PVC/Brass is my best NF and the brass LnL is my best lnl. I definitely would prefer the LnL, not because of how rare it is...but because of its feel, its style, and its performance. My LnL (with just a normal brass barrel replacement...the same one in the Nerfhaven modifications section) outshoots my NF with a range of around 80-85. My NF has a range of around 70-75. They are both extremely accurate...but the LnL has better range and better feel. Of course, it depends on the mods you do to the gun. But I did very good barrel replacements and found better results with the LnL...so therefore, in my opinion, it is a better pistol. Hope this helps!

I have a bunch of NFs and used a LNL in a war before. It may just be that I'm so used to the NF but I deffinately prefer the NF over the LNL. They get similar preformance, they are really simple to modify and they are much much easier to get. Plus they are cheaper. So over all I would rather have my NFs over LNLs. Its all preference though.

Since both of the guns are basically the same, it all depends on weather you are more comfortable holding the LNL or Nightfinder. My favorite, since I have small hands, would be the NF.

I know this isn't answering your question but is merely a suggestion. try and get a hlod of an old style tech target. It outshoots my nf by quite a bit and my mod is pretty sloppy. Just food for thought.

I have the old tech target, 2 nite finders, one modded, and a lock n load.

All three have identical brass barrels. Nite finders and lock n loads are both very comfortable guns (the ttg is far from comfortable). My nite finder performs only half as well as my lnl and ttg. My ttg performed as well as my lnl, until I upgraded the spring in the lnl.

The LnL is really everything I'd be looking for in a sidearm. It performs better than anything else I have, and it looks and feels like a real gun. Looking like a real gun isn't all that important, but it's an added bonus.

OK I have been hearing great things about the TTG. Is it better than the NF, because I may go with that? Opinions? What is the difference between old style TTG and new style TTG?

I love the old TTG. I did the mod that is on the mod page on NH and added a larger spring and get close to 90'. It feels great in my hand and I love it. I prefer it over the NF and LnL.

WOW I may get the TTG. But I doubt you get 90' FLAT. Can someone tell me which one is the old style TTG?

Please realize that you are most likely going to be using this gun as a sidearm. Which is usually used as a last resort. Whenever I''ve used my nf or lnl its been within 30 or 40 feet. So I think that it really doesn't mater so much if the TTG gets 10-15 feet more becuase that 10 feet won't make a huge difference when playing. So just use what feels the best or looks the coolest (i.e. the LNL cause its pure sex). Also there is no need to stick to just one of these pistols.

EDIT: I have about 15 NFs and my EX-3's perform just as well as my OVs.

Like Dark Shrimp said, you will most likely be using this gun as a last resort in a close range area. So, is range really that much of an issue? All these guns get over 50' if modded properly, and that is definitely enough for a sidearm. Another component you want t olook at is price. Is it realy worth paying $30ish for a LnL? You're also paying more for the TTG as well because of the target. The Nitefinder is definitely the best value. It can be modded easily with more than adaquate (sp?) results. You need to ask yourself these questions before buying a gun. in my opinion you should go for the Nitefinder, even if it's an EX-3. They have great value and perform very well.

Just my 2 cents.

Good point Dark Shrimp, but I mostly play indoor wars and about half the time we have "pistols only "wars, so I need every foot of range I can get.

If range for a pistol is more important than holsterability, then get the old stly TTG. It is the one that was grey and blue, not the new greenish scout.

For indoor wars I use dual TTG's and a wildfire. Great combination

This is the old ttg. My local Toys R Us still has them in stock for 14$ which is definately worth
it. The new ttg i just a scout with a diferent paintjob, meaning, its balls.

My NF outshoots both Sasquatch and Apollo's LNL's (fellow clan members of mine) and I modded all 3 guns. Sasquatch's LNL used to be my own, so it's not like I was careless or anything.

The NF just seems far more...solid. The plastic is more durable, the spring releases its energy far faster and more solidly that the LNL. The LNL is still a GREAT pistol, but the NF is just plain rock solid, and it kicks ass.

I <3 my NF...

In terms of the TTG, it's (just like with the other two pistol) a matter of preference, but the TTG 9in my opinion) has a wierd trigger pull. It's also too skinny (from one side to the other) for my taste, but again, that's opinion.

They're all great guns. If you're not wanting to shell out the extra dough for a LNL if the range isn't all that much better, than don't bother. Stick to the readily-available Nite Finder, and you'll be happy. I gurantee it.

Oh, and as mentioned before, steer clear of any "TTG's" that look like scouts. Because that's exactly what they are. Just new color scheme,a nd far more hefty price tag because of the "nifty" target.

Well, I believe since you got 2 NFs, I would go for an LnL. I hear that they're one of the really good pistols.

Well thats not completely true. Everyone has different play styles and when ever I use a primary my main focus is around my side arm, which is always my good old NF. I'm more effective with my NF and the only reason I ever carry a primary is because when you fight against kids that are all using these superpowered AT2ks you pretty much don't have a chance unless you can shoot just as far as them. So what I was getting at is it all depends on your style and mine focuses more around the side arm so range and feel come into play big time.

It's hard to say which you would like better. I persoanlly like the LNL it's been my buddy for a while and I love it. Nerf is cheap, buy both and see which one you like!

Hells yea nerf is cheap. ^_^
Im hard pressed to find a cheaper hobby thats just as fun.

BK is also right about getting both. Like others said, performance is about the same. So it really comes down to how it feels for you.

I, again like others, have both and I tend to like the NF better, for one because its easily replacable now a days rather than the LnL.

by the way, How much does a LnL go for these days? I remember when I got in, there was one that went for like 80 bucks on the Bay
