I know not very many people like airsoft but if you do then what do you use for a barrel that you didn't buy.

I dunno if I should post in this, but I will anyway.
.25" I.D. aluminum tubing. It's been rumored that brakeline works as well, but I was under the impression that that stuff was .25" O.D., not I.D. Otherwise, 1/8" Sch40 PVC.

I have experimented in constructing homemade airsoft guns and have found that general purpose straws work very well as airsoft barrels, as the seal created between the bb and the straw is perfect. Straws obviously have very little structural integrity, therefore I found that if you take your standard white, round stic bic pen, and remove the tip and end cap, a straw fits very snugly within the pen casing, increasing the durability of the barrel. I have experimented with a pen/straw barrel on an ar15 replica airsoft gun and it got great ranges which were about the same as a normal airsoft barrel. The only drawback is that these barrels don't have hop up, but that doesn't really make a drastic difference between conventional airsoft barrels and this.
Also, you may have to look around for a straw with the right inner diameter, i found that most straws fit airsoft bb's though, so you shouldn't have a hard time finding the right one.
